I remember how I surprised you on Valentine's day, I wanted to make it up for how shitty your previous ones have been.
I cleaned up "our" apartment, picked some flowers, lit candles, bought your favourite chocolate and wore my best dress. But you came late from a meeting & ordered flowers from an app and asked me how much did I pay for mine, afraid that they ripped you off.
"You're more romantic than me" is what you said. You let me play my favourite movie, before taking full advantage of me and I allowed it. I didn't think much of it back then, but that day should have been the day I decided to walk away.
