                                                                    RIKA

My face felt hot, I felt as if my vision was blurry. I looked at his face again, his face smiling. "Now what are you smiling at...D..Don't get so comfortable with me yet." I trailed off, crossing my arms. José fixed his little detective hat, I thought it was quite cute. I tried not to laugh, but I calmed myself down. I noticed Kosame and Shiro looking at us, I glared at them. José looked at them as well, but he turned beet red again, I felt as if he could blush at everything. I grinned, "You certainly blush a lot." José chuckled awkwardly, "Sorry, I just can't help myself. It's kind of embarrassing, you know, attention." He smiled to himself saying that. I chuckled. "I have the same problem a lot too... Talking isn't as easy as it is for Rei, and what seems to be Anderson as well." I said, just a little more relieved. I couldn't help but wonder why my face felt so hot. It wasn't the usual 'social anxiety' I get. "That's why I usually spend all my time reading books, it lets me escape from the real world and from all my troubles." José beamed at me; my heart skipped a beat. "Yeah! I totally get what you mean, yeah, haha..." Did I really have to say haha? Why am I so awkward? "You do? You read books as well?" José's eyes lit up, I gulped, "Yeah..." I can't just say the only literature I read is Japanese comic books! What if he thinks I'm a total weeb? "So, what kind of books do you read?" I asked, José sighed, "I just read Japanese comic books, nothing special..." José paused, "I'm not a weeb, alright!" José puffed his cheeks in a rebellious, and adorable way. Why was that so adorable... "Well, José I read Japanese comic books as well, plus I'm not a weeb either. It's not like I have posters and figurines or anything..." I played it off cool, José started to laugh. "How much did you pay for the posters and figurines—I don't want them, I-I'm just curious, you know?" José shrugged, I smiled slyly, "I'm just guessing, okay?" I thought about it, "If you really want a newly made one, or a really detailed one I believe it is about over one hundred." José's jaw dropped, "A figurine costs over one hundred!" I snickered, "Well, it depends on what it is. Some figurines could be had for a low price of twenty to fifty." I said in addition. José seemed to reason with himself in his mind. Rei and Anderson started walking towards us, along with Kosame and Shiro following not too far behind. Of course, Rei and Anderson were still talking. I came over to Shiro and grabbed her arm. My face finally started to cool off. "Hey how's our 'love at first sight' going?" She teased me. I pouted. "Looks like you two are best friends now?" I looked smugly at Kosame and Shiro. "Ever since Rei ditched her for Anderson," Kosame chuckled as Shiro flicked his forehead brutally without a word. My eyes reached José's again, and I couldn't turn away. He is pretty handsome... I shrugged and scoffed at myself. What am I thinking? We moved on. Soon we were near the police car, and on our way back home. Home, I miss you.
