"We're really late" Shoji was walking swiftly, while his lover was far in front of him using her wings to fly ahead "Why didn't you push me off you?!" she called out. The man looked at her with a look, she quickly flew inside the room. The class couldn't help but giggle at the pair, as they tried to act if they were on time, Aizawa soon stepped in "It would be nice if you're here 5 minutes before the lesson starts" they both sighed, they'd been caught.

'Your fault' shoji signed, and his partner only looked away teasingly. Her eyes widened when she stared down at the empty desk beside her, her gaze then fell around the classroom. Where was Aoyama? She looked back to the front of the class, her thoughts clouding her expressions.

He didn't even show up for the bus "Where's Aoyama sir" She asked, the man gave her a look at her question. Then looked at the two empty seats on the bus "He called in sick" he muttered crossing his arms, he tilted his head as he began to question Shizu "Why are you asking?"

"He was acting strange around me" she answered, her eyes seemed to lose the sparkle as she stared deep into his eyes. "He thought I had a reason to hate him" she quickly schooled a smile onto her face as silence drew out "So I really hope he's not avoiding school because of me" the man sighed, and then moved to take a seat "His parents said it was a fever"

"His parents huh" she muttered before sitting down next to her partner. He looked down at her, expectantly waiting for her to explain what the two were conversing about. She finally looked up at him, her eyes innocent and swimming with affection. "What was that about?"

"Oh, Aoyama's missing out on this trip, so I wanted to see if he's ok" the man nodded his head. This was a weird duo, but she did like to be friend everyone, so he didn't think much of it. Shizu removed her hearing aids, and the man tilted his head. Suddenly she leaned over him, causing him to flinch at the sudden contact. She was plugging something into the wall, and then looked up at him 'Charging' she signed, and he nodded his head. Another handy moment to be wearing a mask, the sudden contact had made him flushed all the way to his ears. She let out a small yawn and then leaned on her lover, he happily accepted her and brought out his phone to watch a show.

Time had went on, and they'd come to a stop, Shoji shook the girl a bit as the students began to get off the bus. They had all left by the time she finally stirred awake, she looked around nodding her head in silence. 'You go I'll get my hearing aids' he nodded stepping off the bus, thinking it was just a pit stop Shizu took her time. However, the bus suddenly started to move "Uhh" she muttered looking up, the driver looked behind noticing there was a student on board "Well you're a lucky one, you get a free trip to the camp" she looked out the window at the rest of her class all scrambling to find a way there.

"It's fine" Bakugo quickly spoke, and then crossed his arms "Shizu can carry some of us, finding the location and then us with mobility quirks can follow" Shoji didn't like this plan. Shizu could only carry so many when she was flying, her wings weren't that strong. He looked beside him, and then spun around slightly. "How many can she carry" Mina questioned, and then looked around the group "Shizu, how many of us can you take?" the group was silent.

"Are her aids not in?" Kirishima questioned, looking up at their shy classmate. He was looking fairly panicked as he searched around the group "I don't think she got off the bus" he sighed finally realising his lover wasn't anywhere to be seen. The group all sighed loudly, and then began to make their way down and towards the camp.

The night sky was painted amber, Shizu was sat with the pro hero's teaching sign language. Mandalay had taken off her kitty paws, to communicate with the girl. Meanwhile the other staff were on the lookout for their return, to quickly tell her to pull on her gloves again. "They're here" Shizu noticed how the woman had stopped, and quickly scrambled for her gloves. A kid suddenly bumped into her, then held up her hearing aids. She thanked him, but he was quick to grumble at her, not that it would bother her when she couldn't hear him.

Soon a small group emerged from the trees, they were all panting and out of breath. The heroes were now standing up, acting as if they weren't just lazing around. Shizu was hidden behind the group, putting in her aids, she looked up to the group. Shoji was tired and wanted to collapse and sleep, his eyes searched around the camp for his partner. The heroes began to speak, when suddenly a yelped halted their speech. Shizu was on the ground ripping the hearing aid out her ear, she held her ear, Shoji was quick to run over after hearing his lover. 'Screeching' she signed; Shoji looked down at the aid his eyes widened. They were servery damaged, but not dropped on the floor, someone had opened a part of it. Shoji showed it to the hero's "She says it's screeching"

"I can hear" one of the cat hero's spoke, picking it up and staring at it. She sighed and then passed it to the brown-haired cat lady, she looked down her gaze turning to the kid. His gaze was unbothered, and away from the group, however when he felt the gazes on him that's when he began to sweat. "Kota" Mandalay's voice was stern, and accusing, he looked up at the woman then down to the aids. The woman didn't think once, she quickly grabbed the child from his arm, pulling him away shouting. 'Did you bring your other aids' the girl watched her boyfriend's hands, and then thought for a moment. "Shizu you can go to your room and search your bag to see" Aizawa allowed, looking at Shoji and ushering him back. She had half her hearing, but the sound of it was off putting. She pulled the aid from her ear, and then began to make her way back.

She didn't fully understand what happened to her aid, since everyone was quick to her side, from what she gathered the child had broken it. She sighed as she reached her door, but her hand stilled. She was being watched. Her gaze was quick to look around, panic began to sink in, without her hearing that she'd grown accustomed to she couldn't search for them. Swiftly she opened the door, slamming and locking it behind her. She was staring at the door, as she slowly back up. Suddenly she hit into someone's chest, she pulled away quickly and stared up at the man. "It's nice feeling you come to me" he muttered, her eyes were wide, and she looked at the severe injuries on his face. Her hands cupped his cheeks, and she looked around "Did he do this?"

"I think it's working" he lied, and she pulled away quietly. Her gaze moved to her bag as she began to search through it, finding some hearing aids, she put them in and looked up at him expectantly. "What's happened"

"I can't leave you alone is what's happening," he sighed leaning against the wall behind him "The woman who raised you, the day before asked me to stay by your side if you made it out, keep you away from him" the girl squinted her eyes at the man "She wanted you to die to escape him, because she knew this would happen"

"She left me to burn alive, while running with the money" he shook his head the girl's brows furrowed he only stared calmly back and she shook her head "no, this is unfair" she muttered her voice shaking "Why did you decide to tell me this now" he sighed, pushing off the wall.

"Although you dyed your hair, you do look like her" he looked out the window, watching the trees "She wanted you to stay asleep as it all burnt down, but obviously that didn't happen. She wanted you both to leave, but obviously her mind was on something else" he looked towards the girl with a guilty look on her face "That's why I've been updating you, and always by your side"

"So, my quirk, never?" her voice was barely above a whisper as her world seemed to crumble down around her. "No, it has always been left on me" a silence ran out "I'm sorry I couldn't properly keep him from you" Shizu didn't say anything she quickly hugged the guy. She knew what dumping information like this meant, it took her a while to finally accept it.

He was going to die.
