raindrops spatter across my screen
spotting black with silver
hitting my arms as i laugh without a filter
spinning, free as i've ever been

the rain falls heavier, forming a curtain
trees bleed into green,
blurred by falling beads
as people raise shields as if they will hurt them

lightning scones down from the sky afar
jaggedly dancing around me as i dance with my props;
a ribbon of light across mountaintops
my baton for conducting my opera

and when it subsides and swirls down the drains,
i bide my time in the sun, and wait for the rain.

Inspiration:
i was waiting to cross the road and it was drizzling, which inspired this
