IT WAS OFFICIAL: THE ORPHEUM ROOF WAS THEIR SPOT

Olivia didn't even blink as she recognized the setting of the roof, the blue sky overlooking the bustling city.

"Ok, Patterson why are we here-" Olivia stopped short when she turned around, her breath hitched when she saw him.

He was no longer wearing the purple jacket, long pants, and shirt he donned a few minutes ago. No, this Luke was wearing a long-sleeved dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, long black pants with leather shoes. His hair was slicked back and Olivia couldn't help but stare.

Luke had always been easy on the eyes but wow, he should wear dress shirts more often.

Olivia shook her head slightly as she smiled " ok what's going on?"

Luke gave her a sweet smile and extended his outstretched hand to her.

"Can I have this dance?"

Luke had always been able to make the girl melt. But right then she felt as if she was on cloud nine. She smiled and placed her hand in his, the boy interlocked their hands and pulled the girl to his chest.

Luke slid his arm around her waist as she placed his hand on his shoulder, their other hands still intertwined as they swayed.

He twirled the girl around and she laughed as they spun around a few times, Luke admiring the way how when her dress fanned out when she spun she looked almost like a ballerina.

Olivia rested her head on Luke's chest as he sang softly to her. She knew what he was singing, of course, they had written it together in the garage when the rest of the boys weren't around.

Luke wanted to start writing love songs and Olivia had always been good at composing emotional lyrics.

"Shook me to the core. A voice like an angel never heard before"

Luke wanted to freeze time forever, to keep them at this moment. With her in his arms, slow dancing, singing the song they wrote together because he just wanted a special duet the both of them would be able to sing together someday.

"Here in front of me, they're shining so much brighter than I have ever seen." Olivia finally sang, and the 2 of them continued to dance to the beat.

Luke spun her around now and then and her head was no longer resting in his chest, it was right in front of him as the two ghosts stared into each other's eyes deeply.

"The truth is finally breaking through, two worlds collide when I'm with you. Our voices rising, soar so high. We come to life when we're in perfect harmony."

"Woahh, woahh"

The two teens couldn't help but grin at each other lovingly, dancing on the roof as they twirled and leaped.

Luke couldn't stop spinning the girl and Olivia couldn't stop smiling. They continued to sing together and to them, nothing could have ruined this moment.

Luke Patterson knew right then, that there was never any real competition for who had his heart. He wasn't a dumbass, he knew the girls back in high school would fall to his feet the moment he gave the word but it had always been Olivia Mercer.

That girl had complete control of his heart from the beginning.

As for Olivia Mercer, at that moment she knew she was falling in love with Luke all over again.

She had tried to keep her feelings at bay, tried to convince herself it was just some silly crush but as they danced around the roof singing, she knew that she wasn't going to be able to love anyone else the way she loved Luke Patterson.

Their souls by some fate were intertwined the moment the two teenagers met, even dead they still somehow found each other.

They were soulmates from the very start, and soulmates to the very end.

"You say we're friends" Olivia sang softly as she stared at Luke, at that point they had inched closer. Now practically touching noses.

"We play pretend" Luke sang back, his eyes drifting to her lips ever so often as his grip on her waist tightened.

"You're more to me" Olivia whispered tenderly, causing Luke's heart to ache in the best way possible.

"We create, perfect harmony"

The air was silent, the two teens stared at each other once the song came to an end and neither of them moved. Their noses were touching at this point and Olivia could feel Luke's breath on her lips.

Luke's eyes flickered down to her lips and Olivia swallowed, she stared into his hazel irises and that's when something shifted.

Luke's eyes revealed more than just warmth and kindness. No, now it revealed something more. Something that made Olivia's breath catch slightly.

Love.

Luke couldn't take it anymore, he was finally here with the love of his life in his arms. He watched Olivia and finally decided to do it, the boy let his eyes flutter shut and he leaned in slightly.

Olivia couldn't help but panic slightly, thinking to herself "what if he hurts me again".

The girl fought with her mind for 2 seconds before she turned her head slightly, causing Luke to kiss the corner of her lips.

Inches away from her mouth.

Something inside both of them exploded. Butterflies erupted in Olivia's stomach as Luke felt sparks ignite in his chest. It wasn't even a proper kiss on the lips but both ghosts felt as if they were floating.

They both flushed pink in the face as Olivia smiled at him, the boy not hesitating to grin back.

"Olivia-"

"Oh wow, look at the time. I didn't realize we spent so much time up here, we really should get back and get ready for the gig." Olivia blurted nervously as she slid out of his arms slightly.

Luke couldn't help but frown a little, he wanted to talk about what just happened, wanted to know what it meant for them.

Wanted to know what she felt.

But as he stared at the blonde's nervous demeanor he let himself give in and chuckled, taking her by the hand and kissing her forehead softly as he poofed them out.

"Ok princess, let's go see what they're up to"
