***Adrien's POV***
When I woke up Marinette was gone. I sighed and stood up.
"Mari?"
"Sorry, in here." She called.
I walked over to the bathroom. She was sitting on the counter, talking to the dog kwami. Plagg flew in after me and glared at it.
"Plagg be nice to her." Marinette said.
Plagg rolled his eyes and flew off to find Camembert. I turned back to face Marinette.
"Marinette, I need you to tell me who Hawkmoth is." I said.
She looked down at her hands.
"Marinette you don't understand, me and Ladybug have been trying to defeat him for over a year now. If you know who he is you need to tell me."
"But he's not evil Adrien." She whispered.
"Marinette, he has been hurting innocent people, manipulating them into doing what he wants! How is he not evil?!"
"Because he just want's to fix his family!"
I stared at her confused.
"What do you mean?"
"He never wanted to hurt anyone! He just wants his family back! That's not evil Adrien!" She cried.
"What did he do to you?" I whispered.
"What?"
"He's manipulated you too."
"No he hasn't. He didn't do anything."
"Yes he did, and now you've got it in your head that he's not evil."
"Because he's not Adrien!"
"Yes he is, he has hurt so many people!"
"He just wants to be happy!"
"By hurting other people?!"
"HE'S DOING IT FOR YOU!"
"What?"
Her face paled and her eyes widened. She looked away from me.
"Marinette, what do you mean?"
"Nothing, forget I said that." She muttered.
"Marinette what the hell do you mean?!"
She started crying. If he wanted to do it for me, that means he knows me. The only person I could think about that was capable of this was, my father.
"No." I whispered.
Marinette got off the counter and walked towards the door.
"It's my dad, isn't it?"
She ignored me and kept walking. I stepped in front of the door.
"Isn't it!"
"Adrien, please move." She whispered.
"No! No, I will not move! Answer me, is Hawkmoth my dad?"
She slowly nodded. I let my back hit the door, and I slid down so I was sitting on the floor.
"Adrien I'm sorry."
"This whole time, it was my dad? My father is my enemy?"
"He doesn't have to be Adrien! He loves you and he just wants to bring your mother back!"
"She's dead! She's gone! Instead of helping me get through losing her he became Hawkmoth! Hurting my friends, hurting you!"
"Adrien he didn't-"
