Part 17 - Best friend needs to know it all!!

Everyone on the table stifled a laugh, whereas Monami's eyes went wide to what her best friend just said just now. She signed him through her eyes to shut the fuck up right now or else both of them might land in a huge ass problem. But he just kept blabbering about Karan and Sanju being the strict trainers and Faizi being the cool one. Basically, he gave her all the gossip of the academy in one go. And here poor Monami was just imagining that she could mute Sid with a remote. Finally after a millionth attempt Sid noticed Monami's eyes.

Sid: Kya yaar Monu?? Aankhe left right kyu dance karwa rahi hai... Thodi na apne trainers idhar hai

But what Sid heard next made him freeze in his place.

Karan: Is it Cadet Siddharth Ganju??

Sid (turning back and mumbling): Karan sir??

Sid turned behind only to find Karan sitting with everyone and he kept a finger on his lips and kept rest of his fingers on his jaw and watching him with his eyebrows flicked up. While Karan and Sanju were glaring at him, Faizi was watching the whole scene intently. Sid was shocked to the core to find Karan, Faizi and Sanju there. They were the last people he expected to be there. His trance was broken when Karan walked up to him. 

Karan (while walking towards Sid): So, aap kuch keh rahe the Cadet Siddharth Ganju?? Ruk kyu gaye bataiye. Hum sab ko bhi jaana hai... Please continue. 

Sid (fumbling): Mai... woh... I was saying... ki... umm

Karan (sternly): Aaj hi bolna hai Siddharth 

Sid: Sorry!!

And here Sid's parents were shocked to see their son like this. They always knew that Sid was never serious about his life and he did not have any goals. He just went to the academy because of two reasons. Firstly he did not want to go to the poultry farm and secondly, Monu jahan, Sid G wahan. 

But today they saw that Sid was being shut up by someone and their son did not utter a single word against it. This was shocking for Avinash and Anjali because Sid usually did not take it from anyone. The couple was observing that this is not something that Sid was doing under pressure. They could clearly see that how much he respects the man standing in front of him (Karan). 

Avinash (to Karan): Hi, I'm Avinash Ganju. Sid's dad. And yeh hai (indicating towards Anjali) meri wife, Anjali.

Karan: Hello sir, I'm Special Agent Karan Shergill. Nice to meet you.

Now before Karan could grill Sid more, Monami being the savior saved Sid from the famous "Khadoos Shergill" wrath. 

Monami: Sid!! Chal na mujhe tujhse kuch "important" baat karni hai

Sid (nervously): Chal

Juhi: Baat - waat baad mai karna abhi abhi toh uthe ho dono... jao jaake fresh hoke aao pehle

Monami quickly grabbed Sid's hand and left from there. 

Simi side:

Monami: Sid!! You mad or what?? Bina soche kuch bhi bol deta hai!!

Sid: Monu, woh sab chhod... aur tu yeh bata ki yeh dole - shole bro idhar kya kar raha hai?? 

Monami: Woh hone wali bhabhi ka bhai hai

Sid: WHAT!!

Monami: Dheere bol kamine!! Koi sunn lega

Sid: Bro!! I need to know everything

Monami: Ok

Monami told Sid everything... How they travelled to Mumbai together, how she could see changes in him during the ride, when she surprised her family at the Shergill's, when she saw Karan and Faizi there, how she found out Karan being Tanisha's brother, when he saw her dancing, the airport meet, how he was determined to know what was bothering her, how he solved her problem and lastly his recent friendship proposal to her.
