A Shift In Reality

Chapter 6

'More?'

It' s been a few hours since she started the first episode and moved through the others. All dogs in the living room has been still, not making a sound, their eyes were glued to the TV, watching intensely. No one dared to make a sound apart from the only human girl who was in the room. " Baji you dumbass. Why did you stab yourself, you still had a chance to live!" The shout echoed through the house as one raven haired dog tense at the scene in front of him.

The raven dog wasn't the only one tensed, Kazutora and Takemichi flinched at the blood on the TV while Mikey stared in a daze. Chifuyu couldn't help but look away, it's been a long time since he saw his friend which made it harder to relive this scene again, he was throughly traumatized that the one he admired died in his arms on that holiday. Bloody Halloween.

" I'm gonna die in the future ?"  The rest of Toman couldn't help but moved uncomfortably in their seats, No one really planned on telling him or Emma of their deaths and silently agreed with each other to ignore the fact they were still alive. The scene was terrible for many but some smiled at it. Kisaki couldn't help but chuckle to see the scene he planned  out in his early years of joining Toman. It was magnificent to see his work play out perfectly with his enemies falling to his feet. A smirk couldn't escape his face.

" I killed Baji in the future." It wasn't a question for any dog in the room, it was a statement. This made everyone's head spin at that sentence the yellow and raven dog spewed. " Kazutora, what happened before you got teleported into that box as a dog?" Draken asked the adjacent dog a question, he wasn't sure but he had a theory to what's been going on.

" I was about to go to school and...pick up someone to take them somewhere." Everyone in the room knew what he meant when he said to ' pick up' someone. They watched it on TV quite a few minutes ago. He was gonna take Takemichi to Valhalla' s headquarters for Baji's initiation. They all saw the scene with opened eyes and couldn't forget how brutal the beating Chifuyu had gotten, from someone he admired much less.

" I think I get what Draken's trying to say." A sandy blonde dog said looking to her left, " Before I teleported into that box, I just met Takemichi and Hina at the meeting mikey called." Emma said breathing in deeply, " I think we're not the friends you know, we may all be from different timelines." Emma concluded looking saidly at her brother and the rest of the dogs. They weren't the same family she had known, she knew something was wrong when she was first seen by the others. It seemed something happened to her in the future and she wasn't dumb enough that she couldn't tell by that or the dulled look in Mikey's eyes. She just hoped whatever went on in the future that her brother and Draken would be safe from it.

" We're finished already? Oh, that was the last episode." [ Name] stretched her arms looking at the oddly silent dogs. It freaked her out some since some of the dogs were staring at the now off TV screen. Some dogs like Mickey, his oddly dead eyes seemed dulled if that was possible and it worried her some.

" Y'all good?" The question was odd to some dogs who hasn't gotten used to the way she spiked but most decided to finally let their eyes leave the TV screen to jump off the couch. One by One left but a few stayed. Sunflower, Mickey, Tarzan, and Banana stayed which was odd to the girl. Most of those dogs were apart of the rowdy bunch so seeing them quiet and staring at nothing made her worried.

" Damn, your eyes really freak me out. You know that Mickey?" The [ Hair colored] girl rubbed her hands on his head trying to get the blonde dog to be happier as his usual perky self but to her anger the dog just further sunk into the couch looking blankly at the screen. " If you guys are just gonna sulk all day the-, " A knock rung throughout the vacant house of her and her dogs. A few dogs perked their heads up at the sound and came back up into the living room.

" Who could it be at this hour?" The girl got up from her couch and made her way to the door, checking the peephole cautiously to make sure no one would jumps out at her. Not seeing anyone she opened the door to find a brown box in-front of her feet. ' Another box? Who keeps living them in front of my house!' The girl thought before grabbing the cardboard and bringing it inside her house.

She gently set the box on her couch where the dogs from before were at, the other doors slowly made their way into the room. Going into the kitchen in she grabbed a pair of red scissors to cut the tape from over the box. The tape wasn't as exact to cut off from the previous boxes but the girl could make do with it.

Sounds of cutting permeated the room, each dog looked forward in slight curiosity to what she was doing before she cut the last division of tape.

" Finally got this shit opened." The girl huffed as her hands stung with pain from her tightly squeezing the scissors to cut the tape. The bottom of her hands were an angry red but she couldn't be prouder to bet the box opened.

It was in better condition than the others, the previous boxes were saggy and wet while the one in her lap was dry but a little crinkle. She could only guess that this box had more dogs or another animal in it from the heat but she was slightly suspicious why the said animals weren't moving.

Peeling back the card board edges the girl hesitantly opened the box. Peeking inside she could see four eyes staring back, oddly similarly to how she discovered the other dogs from the box she had opened earlier.

Four pairs of obsidian eyes stared at her's intensely.

[ A/ N: I' m not gonna be updating that much since school has already started. I've been very busy with all the classes I'm taking, I literally get home then do homework for hours then go to sleep so I have limited me time. Hoped y'all enjoyed this chapter, I tried to make it a little more exciting to spice things up!]
