"Beomgyu, do you wanna hang out after school? I could teach you hand-to-hand combat and maybe some other interesting stuff." "That depends on where we are going. The school grounds are are closed after school and we need a huge empty space if we're going to practice." Beomgyu still wasn't completely familiar with the surroundings. He had never left the school premises, never. After being sucked into the portal, he ended up here, in a completely unfamiliar magical world. Since he didn't know anyone here, he just stayed at the school dormitory all the time. Hayze provided Beomgyu with all the necessities so Beomgyu had never thought about leaving the school premises. "We can go to my house. I have a private practice room which I mostly use for exercising and magic." Beomgyu scoffed. "Are you bragging your wealth?" Yeonjun widened his eyes and shook his hands violently, denying. "No! I'm sorry if it sounded like I'm bragging but believe me I didn't mean to brag!" Beomgyu just laughed at Yeonjun's panicked expression and patted his shoulder with a small smile. "Don't worry I was just joking. I'm happy that you invited me to your house. I've never visited anyone's house because I never had friends..." Beomgyu's voice trailed off. Yeonjun could sense the sadness in his voice and hugged him without realising what he was doing. "Don't worry, you'll never be alone ever again." Beomgyu was slightly taken aback but hugged him nonetheless. "Thank you."

None of them spoke as they found the silence comforting. Yeonjun kept patting Beomgyu, in an attempt to soothe and comfort him and Beomgyu did find it comforting. After a while they pulled back and smiled at each other. Yeonjun couldn't take his eyes off Beomgyu. Beomgyu was perfect. He was kind, intelligent and beautiful. The poor boy didn't deserve the tragic life that had been through. But Yeonjun was here now. Even though he had bullied him at first, he has promised to himself that he'll never let anyone hurt Beomgyu ever again.

Beomgyu got dressed and waited patiently for Yeonjun to do the same. "Let's go?" Yeonjun asked Beomgyu to which Beomgyu nodded with a smile. They locked to door and left the dormitory. Yeonjun stopped walking as they reached the school gate and looked around. Beomgyu was confused. "What are you waiting for?" "Our drive." Yeonjun replied still looking around. "So we aren't walking? How far is your house?" "Like 15 mins by foot." Beomgyu sighed and whispered. "Then we could just walk there..." Soon, a black car which Beomgyu thought costed more than life, stopped right in front of them. Yeonjun got in and motioned Beomgyu to do the same. Beomgyu hesitantly got in and sat beside Yeonjun.

"Your car is much more expensive compared to my entire existence." Beomgyu whispered to Yeonjun. Yeonjun knew it was a joke but he slightly frowned. He would never say it out loud but to him Beomgyu was worth much more than some stupid piece of metal. Not because of Beomgyu's identity as the ruler of the skies, but because Yeonjun geniunely cared about Beomgyu, a lot. Over the past few days he had taken quite a liking to the shorter boy. Who wouldn't like him? He was one of the most innocent and precious person Yeonjun had ever met.

The rest of the drive was silent with Beomgyu looking out of the window and Yeonjun thinking about Beomgyu. They arrived in about 5 minutes and got out of the car. Beomgyu's eyes widened at the sight displayed. It was a very huge mansion, surrounded by flowers, swimming pool and various courts for sports. Yeonjun just smiled at him and walked through the garden with Beomgyu following closely. He admired the various varieties of flowers and trees which a huge smile on his face. Yeonjun held Beomgyu's hand slowly dragging him to his house but Beomgyu was too invested in admiring the nature to notice. He snapped out of his trance when Yeonjun dragged him into his house. He looked at their hands interwined and quickly pulled back. He looked down, his ears slightly turning red from the embarassment and Yeonjun just cooed at the shorter boy, finding it cute. Yeonjun couldn't deny the fact that he liked Beomgyu, not platonically, but romantically. Over the past few days, he grew closer to Beomgyu, more than he would've expected. So close, that he fell for him. But he was so sure that Beomgyu didn't like him in that way, atleast not yet. Heck, Yeonjun didn't even know if Beomgyu was into men. He just sighed and asked Beomgyu to follow him to his private practice room. Both of them walked downstairs to the basement Well, not exactly a basement. There was a huge room with a few gym facilities like the treadmill and dumbells. The room could easily contain over a thousand people. Yeonjun asked one of the workers to shift the gym facilities to some another room for now, as they needed a lot of space to practice magic. One the room was emptied, Yeonjun looked at Beomgyu. "Do you need anything to drink? Beomgyu shook his head as a no. "Then let's start. Are you ready?" Beomgyu nodded.

"Since my elemental is fire, I'll teach you some basic fire element attacks. First up, fire arrow." He made a small arrow of fire and asked Beomgyu to do the same. Beomgyu, as expected, was unsuccessful. He couldn't get the perfect shape and even if he did it, lasted for 2 seconds at the most. "Close your eyes and let the magic flow through your body. Then imagine an arrow." Yeonjun instructed and Beomgyu closed his eyes and did exactly as Yeonjun instructed . He focused on the magic that flowed through his body. A slightly hot sensation spread throughout his body, indicating that he could feel it. He quickly imagined the shape and the size of an arrow. This time he was successful in creating a small fire arrow. Yeonjun grinned. "You're a quick learner." "You bet I am!" Beomgyu smiled back. "Now" Yeonjun pointed at a dart board. "Shoot as many fire arrows as you can. You can stop when you're tired. Try aiming exactly at the centre of the board." Beomgyu nodded and focused. He quickly made a fire arrow and aimed it at the centre of the board. He threw it but sadly, it didn't hit the board at all and instead hit the wall, almost one metre away from the board. "It's okay. Keep trying I'm sure you can do it, Gyu!" "Gyu?" Beomgyu lost his focus and turned towards Yeonjun. Yeonjun realised what he had said and covered his mouth in embarrassment. "I'm so sorry. I really didn't mean to! I just thought it was cute but if you find it uncomf-" "No, it's cute I like it." Beomgyu smiled slightly at Yeonjun and Yeonjun sighed in relief. "But I have the right to give you a nickname as well. Hmm, let's think...Jjunie?" Yeonjun blushed at the nickname. His heart was racing for some reason. Yeonjun thought that calling each other by nicknames sounded romantic. He was so delusional and he knew that it didn't mean anything but atleast it meant that Beomgyu is comfortable with him. "Y-yeah it sounds cute." Yeonjun mentally slapped himself for stuttering. Beomgyu just laughed and continued with his practice. After a few failed attempts, he finally managed to hit the board. Both Yeonjun and Beomgyu jumped in excitement. "Yippie! I did it!" "Yes, you did it, Gyu! I'm so proud of you!" Both of them laughed at each other's silliness.

Yeonjun taught him various tricks such as fire tornado, fire cage etc. Beomgyu was now somewhat refined at using the tricks but he still lacked experience in combat. "Let's test your skill now. Come on, fight me." Beomgyu was surprise but slowly nodded. They distanced themselves from each other, getting ready to fight. "On the count of three, we'll begin our duel." Yeonjun told Beomgyu. "1.....2.....and......3!" Yeonjun threw several fire arrows at Beomgyu but Beomgyu managed to dodge them all.  Beomgyu was busy dodging the fire arrows that he didn't realise that Yeonjun was about to attack him from behind. "Fire ball!" Yeonjun shouted making Beomgyu turn back and widen his eyes. He reflexively spread his arms and closed his eyes as a  prevention. He waited for the ball to hit him but to his surprise, it never came. He opened his eyes to see a huge wall made of ice, protecting him from Yeonjun's attack.

"Gyu! Are you hurt?!" Yeonjun asked Beomgyu with concern. "No, I'm fine. Don't worry." "Your reflex was insane! You instantly made an ice barrier to protect you! It requires atleast five seconds to make one. Why didn't you tell me you could use ice magic so well?" Yeonjun questioned Beomgyu. "I really didn't do anything, Jjunie. I closed my eyes waiting for the fire ball to hit me but the ice barrier protected me. I didn't really create it...I don't know?" Yeonjun thought for sometime. Barries require a specific chant and it takes a few seconds to create one. But Beomgyu didn't recite a chant or a spell. He didn't control his magic with his mind. "I think your magic doesn't require you to recite chants or spells. Your reflex! The moment your sensed danger, you triggered your magic into protecting you.
