Chapter Six

I woke up early for a Saturday, around 6am. I checked to see if Grandma was back, which of course she wasn't. I went and put on some athletic shorts, a tank, and some of my old Nike shoes. Grabbing my cell which had like fifty different texts from Jase, I ran out of the house down to the school park. The park was a small, cosy thing near a bunch of trees. It had some benches, swings, slides, the usual. But that wasn't what the reason I came. It was the trees. They were big and had the perfect branches for climbing.

The cool morning mist stung my face as I sprinted faster, trying to beat the morning car rush. It was still a little dark out, and the gray clouds just above the horizon was beautiful. When I arrived, I headed strait towards my favorite tree. My body reached it's climbing limit, and I leaned against a long thick branch. It wasn't until I closed my eyes that I heard a crunching sound. My dark eyes shot open to see a   tall boy walking over towards the park. Pier. I was positive he didn't realize I was here, but I was extra sure not to draw any attention to myself. He was mumbling, and I could just barely make out the words, "She, can't explain, don't know what to do."

He sat on the bench underneath the tree I was in. Tailor emerged from the woods a few seconds later, "Why here of all places? I'd rather not be around a bunch of annoying brats while their parents savor their last few minutes of freedom," He scowled, annoyed. Tailor looked much different when he looked irritated, almost murderous. I shuddered. Definitely not a morning person.

Pier scowled, "Wasn't many options. We don't if the woods here are safe yet, and i'd rather not take the chance of another pack hearing us. Besides, you know an Alpha's mate is worth alot." I frowned.  Alpha? Mate? Full of himself much? I think so.

"You know this wasn't going to be easy Pier. All our life you were always the one that said you would never get married, and a woman would only hold you down."

"Idiot! You know how strong our bond is. It's hard to ignore what was meant to be. As Alpha, I demand you to stop questioning my choices! You will learn someday Tailor, what it is like to have someone you feel you can't live without. I'll do anything. Even if she ends up hating me." Pier practically shouted out at Tailor. I smirked. Looks like Mr. 'Alpha' was having girlfriend problems.

"You don't know what your doing Rave."

Pier's eyes darkened, "Watch what you say mutt. You may be Beta but you don't forget who is in charge." Tailor cowered away, and I couldn't help it. I laughed. What was this, some kind of role play? Their eyes shot up to me and I locked eyes with Pier. I tumbled out of the tree, trying as fast as I could to get the heck out of their, before they shanked me with something for listening in on something my mind told me I shouldn't have heard.

"Wait!"

"Stop! We'll explain."

I ran faster. I'd never been beat in a race before but these were some fast freaks. I was closer to getting home, and as I turned the corner I looked behind me to see if they were still coming.

"Shi-" I heard a voice start as I crashed into a hard body. It was Jase, holding flowers and a box of chocolates in his hand.
