Blood and pomegranates

Chapter 03

Alessia's POV
I woke up and checked the time....8:42 PM.

I groaned and rolled out of bed landing harshly on the floor resulting in another groan. I then shuffled with my throw blanket into the bathroom, before exiting 15 minutes later looking refreshed.

I put on my earbuds and danced my way to my office. I preferred to work at night to avoid people because I didn't like it when they judged me so I avoided the toxic narcissists and went about my day. I entered the office and plopped down in my chair.

Natasha had installed a coffee maker in my office with various coffees and teas. I put on a pot then popped my fingers "Alright! Operation reprogramming is a go!" I cheered out before powering up my computers and diving in.

I was on my 12th cup of coffee and decided to take a bathroom break and get something to eat.

I put on my earbuds and danced my way around the compound. When I finally made it to the kitchen, I nearly dropped my phone and screamed. There standing next to the bar with a cup of hot tea and a book was Loki. He looked at me in surprise and confusion "Erm...h-hello?" I stammered in embarrassment. He raised a brow and said "Good morning?" I nodded and said "Right, um, good morning."

I then turned around and went to hide "Didn't you need something?" He called out making me rapidly shaking my head and say "Nope! I'm good!" He raised a brow and said "You don't need to worry, pet, I'm on a leash" he then raised his neck revealing a black electronic collar type thing with a red light. "I'm not worried about that! Just- Please don't tell anyone that you saw me."

He raised a brow and said "May I ask why?" I began wringing my hands and said "I- um- I'm the new hacker and I don't want anyone to bother me or see me like this" I then gestured to my clothes. He seemed confused but nodded "I won't tell a soul, but if you need something get it now. The Captain will wake up soon and go on his run" I hesitantly walked back into the kitchen and started making breakfast.

I made an extra bowl for Loki and set it by him before scurrying back to my office. I was in such a hurry that I missed his smile and him muttering "Cute" before eating. I sighed and ate my food before working for two more hours.

I left off on a good stop and carefully exited my office. I could hear the other residents chatting as they ate breakfast as I snuck back into my room. Once safely inside I changed into pajamas and flopped back onto the bed and passed out.
