Bella hadn't spoken to Regulus in a whole month, probably the longest she had gone since meeting him at eleven years old. It was driving her mad.

She thought she was doing a pretty good job of keep her feelings to herself though. At least she did.

"Izzy?" James Potter asked, speaking to his younger sister for the first time in months.

"Nobody calls me that,"

"I do,"

"What do you want," James stared at his baby sister. Wondering where it had gone wrong and he'd lost his best friend.

"Are you okay?"

"Why wouldn't I be?" She replied stiffly

"-We noticed you haven't been talking to my brother," Sirius cut in

"I think you mean I noticed," Remus said from behind them

"It's none of your business who I talk to. It's not like you've made any effort to be involved for the last five years," Bella said but she was looking her brother directly in the eyes as she said it.

"I know and I'm sorry but-"

"Sorrys not gonna cut it James" she paused "You practically left me for the wolves, all alone in this big school where I thought I would have my brother," the two siblings stared at each other, their brown eyes meeting each other.

"Is everything okay?" Sirius spun around to be faced with his little brother but Regulus didn't even spare a glance at him, he started directly at Bella who had also turned to face him.

The two Slytherins stared at each other before Bella grabbed his hand.

"Fine," she said, answering Sirius' question as she dragged him away.

"Are they dating?" Remus asked

"NO" the two other boys yelled at the same time, watching as the two younger kids disappeared down the hallway, slipping out of their reach once and for all.

When the two arrived in the empty Slytherin common room, no words were spoken as they hugged.

"I missed you so much Reg, never leave me again,"

"I won't," he whispered back and he meant it as they pulled away

"I'm so sorry for kissing you I've just made everything awkward and-"

"What?" He asked

"I'm sorry for kissing you I've just-" but this time he cut her off. Pulling her closer and pressing his lips to hers. Regulus could feel his heart explode at the touch of her lips as she broke away.

"What just happened?"

"I kissed you,"

"Well yeah obviously but" she paused hesitantly, "I thought you didn't like me like that," she finished, her voice dropping to barely a whisper

"What? Your the one who ran away,"

"Because you just stood there I-" she broke off again "wait you like me,"

"Of course I bloody like you Bella I've liked you since 2nd year,"

"But I thought," she stopped

"What,"

"You like me, and I like you," she stated, dumbstruck.

"Uh yeah I think we made that pretty clear-"

"Do you want to go to Hogesmeade with me tomorrow,"

"Well yeah we always go togeth-," he broke off "it's Valentine's Day," And she just smiled at him, his heart skipping a beat.

"Is that a yes?"
