The Master didn't like Glory's plan one bit. It interfered with his own plan. So he sent one of his minions to take Dawn before Glory got back to where she had been holding Dawn.
By the time Glory found out that Dawn was not in the cell where she left her, she went to confront Buffy.
"Okay, Buffy, you and those Scoobies win!" Glory said upon confronting Buffy.
"Whatever do you mean?"
"I know you were on to me and took Dawn from where I had her stashed."
"Gee, Glory, I wish I could take the credit for that, but I have no idea where you took my sister." Buffy said. "I was on my way searching for where you took her when you confronted me just now."
"So, you didn't take her?"
"No, Glory, I did not?"
"Well, if you didn't take her . . . then who did?"
While the two contemplated the thought, Dawn struggled to free herself of the shackles hoping Buffy would find her.
