Hidden Spark on Earth II (TFP)

Chapter 1

Part two of the Hidden Spark on Earth series. If you haven't read the first one, please go and read it. This part will follow part of Season 2 of Transformers Prime, until Nemesis Prime where the story will deviate from the show.

Sitting on the gurney was not a fun thing for anyone. Especially when it is for a medical emergency. But, for a young woman who has just found out she is pregnant with two possible fathers, it was excrutiating. All she wanted to do was to get up and go find Optimus Prime. However, her body needed strength. Not only was she exhausted from spark bonding with Optimus, officially making them spark mates to each other, she was also exhausted from assisting Megatron in expelling the titan, Unicron, from taking control of the decepticon's mind. Ratchet believed she was exhausted from expelling Unicron from her own mind, but she had not told him exactly what happened.

Saphira Dawn, an orphaned girl from Jasper, Nevada, currently laid on the gurney staring at the grey ceiling above. Her black hair lay around her face like a cloak hugging her with the soft strands, her milky, pale skin glowed in the reflection of the lights and her emerald, green eyes were focused on the ceiling above. She was being tended to by a woman, June Darby, who is Jack Darby's mother. The woman was concerned about Saphira's pregnancy, even though it was in the very early stages, it was a pregnancy conceived by interfacing with an autobot, and decepticon. Though no one knew who the sire was, but that mattered little as long as Saphira and the unborn were healthy.

Ratchet had prescribed to Saphira that she would consume white energon, a mutated form of energon that has developed on the planet and can only be consumed by her, as the unborn likely needed the white energon to develop properly. Saphira was not going to deny that at all. She did discover recently she is part Cybertronian due to a special audience she had with Primus, learning that he sent a sliver of his own spark to the planet and she was conceived within her mother, who was struggling to have a child at the time. It was something Saphira never expected to learn, and it explained part of the reason why she, Optimus and Megatron were attracted to each other.

And Primus's will seems to want Optimus and Megatron to end their war with Saphira's help. By being the sparkmate of both mechs, the two will have to come to terms eventually that their war would only bring further pain and suffering to the one they both love. It is a destiny Saphira did silently wish was not hers, but she could not change who she was. She could only try to do what Primus wants her to do, and she believed that is all he would ask of her.

Ratchet walked into the med bay, gazing at Saphira with a kind expression as she turned her head to look at him. "Are you feeling better, Saphira?" She shrugged a little, not really knowing how to answer. "I understand. It must be overwhelming for you. Not only is Optimus with Megatron believing he is Orion Pax, but you could also be carrying his offspring...or Megatron's..." He clenched his hand slightly as he spoke of that. "I still hate to think about what Megatron has done to you."

Saphira sighed a little, sitting up slowly and placing her hands beside her to support herself. "I am sick of being in this bed, Ratchet. Surely there is a plan to rescue Optimus. I've tried reaching him...but he is still blocking me."

Ratchet looked at her with a very kind expression, he knew she wanted to know what the plan was. "I know, I know. But you really need to save your strength, Saphira. Now that you are carrying, we need to be..."

"Ratchet, I haven't been pregnant for more than two days!" Saphira snapped in irritation, interrupting the medic. "I have no need for you to be so cautious around me. Optimus is not here! He is with Megatron, and believes that he is Orion Pax because using the Matrix to stop Unicron somehow drained his memories." Tears fill her eyes and she took a deep breath. "I really don't want to just sit here and wait for you to tell me what is going on."
