Upon entering the lobby, Saphira put a mouthful of vegetables into her mouth, glancing at the console Optimus was standing at. His fingers seemed to dance along the console as he stared at the screen, focusing on what he was decoding. Saphira smiled a little as she saw him, sending warmth and love through the bond to alert him that she was there. Optimus glanced over his shoulder at her when he felt the feelings and smiled at her when his optics lock onto her, seeing his sparkmate sitting on Breakdown's shoulder.
"How has the decoding been going?" Saphira asked curiously as Breakdown approached Optimus. "I hear you might be almost finished. Do you think you will be able to retrieve the item soon?"
Optimus nodded, turning his head back to the screen as Breakdown gently moved Saphira to the platform beside the mech. "I have almost fully decoded the next Iacon relic location. It has been going slower than I thought it would be, but I am almost there. I believe I should have it fully decoded within a matter of hours."
"That sounds wonderful," Saphira said enthusiastically as she sat down on a chair, placing her plate on the table by her. "Hopefully you don't mind that I have been hanging out with Breakdown and Knockout. The two of them just had a rather nice serenade together..." Optimus glanced at her curiously. She grinned and glanced at the two cons who chuckle as she explained what happened. "And poor Ratchet walked in on it. But the song they danced to is quite the classic, so it was really nice to see."
Optimus glanced at the two cons curiously. "I suppose you two don't mind partying while she is carrying, huh?"
"Don't worry, we are the ones that did all the dancing," Knockout responded reassuringly. "Saphira was more focused on cooking her food than dancing. She enjoyed the show though." He smiled at the bot, hoping that Optimus wouldn't get too mad. "Besides, Saphira enjoys spending time with us. Even if she can't dance the way she used to before she was with sparkling, she at least can wave her hands and sing along. That is still highly possible."
"Yeah, and besides, you've heard me singing more than once in the shower, Optimus," Saphira said with a smile. Optimus glanced at Saphira, seemingly surprised that she knew he was doing that. "Don't look at me like that. You aren't always subtle, Optimus."
Optimus did not respond, he turned his head back to the screen to continue decoding the Iacon database. Saphira giggled as the reaction was funny to her. "It is true that you possess a lovely voice, Saphira. I know you still think you're not that good, but just because you are not like the paid singers of your world, it doesn't mean you aren't good."
Saphira knew that Optimus and the others felt that way, though she also knew she didn't give herself credit. She rubbed her stomach thoughtfully as she knew she was going to sing a lot of lullabies to the sparklings when they were born. "I am looking forward to singing some lovely lullabies to the sparklings, even while they are still growing within me." Optimus hummed gently and turned to look at her. "I already have started, as you know."
"Indeed. Though you haven't sang the one you said you were going to sing. Are you waiting until they're more developed?" Saphira nodded before picking at the chicken with her fork to put into her mouth. "I am still intrigued by it. I have no doubt when you sing it, it will lull even the fussiest sparkling into recharge."
Saphira chuckled softly, hoping that was true, though she knew sometimes babies were fussy and it was hard to calm them down when they don't stop being fussy. She was expecting to go through the stage. "We can only hope for that, Optimus. I don't expect the twins to be easy. Just because my pregnancy has been okay so far, it does not mean that it won't be rough towards the end."
Optimus did not disagree with her. He understood that hoping for the twins to be easy was a natural wish. He didn't know what kind of trouble the twins will give them, but he suspected it would be no different to any other sparkling. He smiled a little as he thought back. "I remember when Bumblebee was a youngling..."
