Mugen Train Part 4 Finale: Setting The World Afire and Good Mourning

Inosuke stood before the neck where the arms were sticking out. All of a sudden, the Conductor ran after Inosuke with a sharp pick in his hand.

Tanjiro: Inosuke!

Conductor: I won’t let you take away my chance to dream!

Tanjiro threw himself in the way.

Y/n: Tanjiro!

Tanjiro was stabbed in the stomach.

Inosuke: Huh?

Tanjiro used the blunt side of his sword to hit the conductor in the neck and knock him out.

Inosuke: Did he just stab you?

Tanjiro strained and faint: I’m okay.

Y/n: That’s a lot of blood.

Tanjiro: I’ll be alright.

Y/n: You have to leave it in. Taking it out will make you bleed more- and you just took it out.

Tanjiro grabbed the conductor by the arm and started dragging him away.

Inosuke: Forget about that bastard!

Tanjiro: I can’t just leave him to die!

Inosuke sliced at the neck but the arms blocked his strike.

Inosuke: If we don’t chop this thing’s head off soon, the others won’t make it!

You sliced an arm off but another arm grabbed your sword. You use your other sword to free it.

Tanjiro strained and faint: I hear you! Let’s hurry, then!

All of a sudden, the flesh bowl started morphing and thick flesh stalks rose from the edges and hung over all three of you like a cage made of demon flesh. Arms started sprouting and slamming down, trying to hit you, Tanjiro or Inosuke. You all were maneuvering around as quick as you could and slicing arms that got too close.

Tanjiro: Hey. Let’s combine our power.

Y/n: Basically your plan from before but without falling asleep.

Tanjiro: Exactly. Once we synchronize our breathing, we’ll attack as one!

Tanjiro’s wound was bleeding more. He must be going through a lot of pain for this, yet he’s still pushing on. You, Tanjiro and Inosuke fought your way to the edge of the train again and you waited. A massive flesh stalk rose and attempted to slam down on all three of you, but you all jumped really high. More flesh stalks rose up.

Y/n in thoughts: This is so cool.

You all started falling and slicing up tendrils, limbs and stalks on your way down. You were all in sync and you felt like a total badass. The flesh sprouted the “sleep eyes”, but Inosuke and you were ready and you both started slicing the eyes. Inosuke stuck his swords into the flesh and started running down the stalk.

Inosuke: Got’chu there! Come on! Follow the leader!

You stuck one of your swords into the flesh and you were sliding down. You were using your other sword to slash at the nearby eyes. The arms all folded up around the neck.

Inosuke: Beast Breathing. Fourth Form. Slice n’ Dice!

Inosuke cut all the flesh away.

Y/n: Polished Slice!

You cut clean through the bone and split it wide open and the train jolted a bit. Tanjiro came down last. Tanjiro started breathing fire and he sliced down on the demon’s neck, causing the train to jump up from the sheer power and the flesh started writhing around.
