The next morning, your breakfast was delivered to you. It was well made. After thanking the villager who made it, you dug in. Halfway through your meal, however, you heard distant flapping. Suddenly, Ikari burst through the window for a crash landing and he was coughing.
Y/n: Ikari. What is the news today?
Ikari shook the dust off of himself and hopped up on the table.
Ikari: The Butterfly Mansion has sent a message. Tanjiro and Inosuke are awake and are soon to go through rehabilitation.
You swallowed your food.
Y/n: That’s good news.
Ikari: I’m not finished!
Y/n: Don’t speak too loud. I’m trying to enjoy my breakfast.
Ikari: Your allotted time to stay has been extended, so enjoy your time here, and finally, a personal message from Lord Kocho herself. She says, “Y/n. Do not do anything stupid while you’re in the Village.” That is all.
Y/n: Give a direct message back to Lord Kocho. “No promises.”
Ikari: Farewell, Y/n.
Y/n: Take care, Ikari.
Ikari flew out the window and you returned to your breakfast. You sat there satisfied that your friends survived, but you couldn’t get the thought that Muzan was going to prioritize the death of your friend.
You went out and found Katsuzuki. He was talking to a couple of the villagers and some Kakushi. Katsuzuki smiled as you walked up. You also noticed that all the villagers were smitten by him.
Katsuzuki: Ah. Just the man I wanted to see.
He faced the villagers.
Katsuzuki: Sorry ladies, but I’ve got somewhere to be.
They wined and wanted to keep talking.
Katsuzuki: Ututututut. A Slayer’s duty is never done.
They crowded around him and kept talking. He looked towards you.
Katsuzuki: I don’t suppose you’ve got any fancy abilities to get me out of this mess, do you?
Y/n: You’re not gonna like it.
Katsuzuki: Anything’s better than this.
In a flash he disappeared and the girls started looking around, confused as to where he went. Katsuzuki and you were in a hidden area. More specifically, the tree edge just along the village, but they didn’t notice you both.
Katsuzuki: Thanks for getting me outta there.
Y/n: Yeah.
Katsuzuki: Just one problem.
Y/n: What’s that?
Katsuzuki: Why is my robe and kimono no longer on my body?
You sighed.
Y/n: Because I needed something to distract them while saving you.
Katsuzuki: I’m probably not gonna get that back you know.
