Chapter 2

"Veronica, Veronica. Wake up, you're going to be late for school", the new owner of the orphanage and former social worker Veronica Christine called to Veronica. "I'm going," Veronica called back to Christine, pulled off the duvet and stood up from her bed annoyed. She put on a floral blouse, black elegant pants, black sneakers and took her blue backpack. She started down the stairs to the main hall where Christine and the other children were waiting for her, and gave her an apple for breakfast. "Have a nice day and don't make trouble", Christine said to them with a smile, she opened the door and the children went to school. They all went to the same school except Veronica, who went to art school. Veronica put her headphones in her ears and listened to music from her mobile phone while she chewed on an apple she got in the morning when she bumped into someone. "Oh, sorry. I didn't notice you", she said to the young guy with short brown hair. That's fine. I am Peter. Peter Parker" he told her and held out his hand. "I'm Veronica. I'm glad", she told him with a smile and shook his hand.
