BEEP BEEP, BEEP BEEP.

I jolt up in a sweat, a series of nightmares running wild in my head. My eyes adjust to the bright white lights as I search for any one I may know in this strange place.

There's an empty chair beside me, I'm lying in a hospital bed in nothing but a gown, blue and white curtains have been drawn around me making me feel suffocated.

"Leandro?" I whisper, my mind is a million miles away. Why isn't Leandro here waiting for me? In fact why am I even here.

What the hell happened?

All of a sudden the curtain gets pulled open and finally a familar face meets mine, Mattia slowly walks closer. A look of relief washed all over his face.

"Where's Leandro?" I ask worried, why is he here and not my fiance?

A bright smile appears on his face but I'm not sure what he's finding amusing.

"Mattia?"

"Leandro has just woken up, and asked the exact same question but to you." He finishes with another big grin but I still don't understand what's going on and my head is pounding.

"What am I doing in here- what are we doing in here?" I ask looking around at the plain white walls and long corridoors, everything is so.. bare.

"That's a long story for another day, for now let me go grab your doctor to take you to Leandro." He says whilst rushing out shouting something about me finally being awake, how long have I been asleep for?

A tall and broad man walks in wearing another long white coat as he holds a black clip board and pen. His ice cold stethescope makes contact with my skin and I flinch at the freezing sensation, he moves it away to warm it up before trying again.

"Who are you and why am I here?" I ask straight out

"I'm doctor Jones and you're here because you got shot and then you went into a total state of unconscious due to the emotional and physical stress you endured yesterday, your body simply shut down." He explains and my eyes widen, I don't remember anything happening yesterday. I look down to the arm he pointed at after saying I got shot and see a big white bandage wrapped around it, I don't remember that either.

"Well am I alright now?" I ask hoping for a yes so I can go and see Leandro.

"I just need to run some tests but everything seems okay so far, how do you feel?" He questions making me think for a good minute.
