Next morning~

I got up and get myself ready, Hayate was already preparing breakfast for the two of us. I put on a black tee and baggy jeans.

"Shower's unused, you can go in." I told him as I was drying up my hair.

He rushes in as I set up the table and put down our plates. I pick up my report from yesterday and place it neatly into a typical yellow folder, marking it with red ink, ' Mission M - Spy's Lover '.

Hayate came out of the room dressed as we sat down at the table and ate our breakfast.

"Hey so how exactly does he look like?"

I swallowed my food, "Hmm, he has silvery hair colour, it's pretty when the light shines on it. He had golden eyes too."

Hayate picks up my plate and places it in the dishwashing machine as I went on and got myself ready. I put on my brunette wig and tied it up into a messy bun and then proceeded to wear emerald eye contacts.

"Wow, who's the new girl?" Hayate teases.

"Shut up, it's Shinora for you. I'll be dressing up as Shinora until the mission is complete. In that way I don't need to worry about having any mistakes on my appearances."

"Alright Ms. Shinora. Let's head to the headquarters now, shall we?" He opens the door for me as we head out together.

I made an announcement about my disguise and how they should address me as Shinora. I made myself like a new recruit. It was surprisingly easier to talk to people when they don't see my face as much.

It was almost dinnertime, so I rushed out and took the short cut by running from flat rooftops, one roof to another. I slide down using a pipe down the building with a glove, I land down with a thump sound as I removed the glove from my hand and stuff it down my bag. I cleaned myself up as I arrived at our usual spot promptly.

Kano arrived a moment later, 'Shinora! Look what I've brought!"

He excitedly showed me a book filled with poetry, "Wow, you brought a poetry book?"

He nods, "It was sad to know someone that shares the same common interest as mine started distancing from poetry, so I brought you a book to read out to you!"

I smiled at his bubbly personality, if only I could really date him...

Or if only he was Leo.

He read out the poems as I ate my dinner. It feels nice to know someone who could read out the poems with such expression and understanding. We then talked about our favourite poets, favourite poems.

"I would want to act out in Romeo and Juliet."

Kano gasps, "Wait. The Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet? Same. It was so far my most favourite ones. My top 3."

I laugh, we went on and on and what felt for minutes became hours.

"My, would you look at the time? It has already been past midnight." I checked my watch, and he was right.

  It was 1:03 A.M.

"Time passes by so fast whenever we spend time together." We said it together again.

He laughs, "You seem to have a piece of my mind, maybe we're meant to be."

I rub my nape as I sigh, "What a surprise."

"Hey- uhm, by any chance I mean- do you want to exchange numbers?"

I gladly accepted his offer as I gave him my other phone's number.

Just in case if he tried to hack it or anything.

"Great! Maybe I'll be your personal google assistant sending you random poems and poetry stuff every day."

We both laughed at his joke before we part ways once again. Then from that day on, Kano and I would text and call every day. Even when we don't have time for our usual meet up, he would call me up and make sure that I had eaten and sometimes we would even call until late nights. I would sometimes fall asleep during the call usually when there is training day.

I woke up with a good stretch,

"Morning princess."

I flinch, "Lord, wait. Kano?" I picked up my phone, the call had been ongoing for 9 hours.

"Yeah, you sounded cute with your little snores." I swear I would slap him if I could.

"I was NOT snoring. I was just exhausted, I take karate lessons so I'd kick your butt when I see you." I said in my defense.

He chuckles, "Sure thing girlie, how 'bout 8pm at our usuals today?"

I let out a sigh as I walk up to my desk, "Hmm, 8pm?"

My eyes scanned my timetable as he hums.

Crap, it's a clash with my meeting.

"Ah, my apologies Kano."

He knows, "I see, maybe next time then."

His voice tone lowered down. He must be upset.

"Well! Let's not drop the beautiful morning's mood! Have a great day in your work okay? If you're too stressed with whatever, call me up okay? I have LOTS of poems and jokes I gotta tell someone to."

I laugh, "Alright my dear Kano."

He gasp, "DID YOU JUST CALL ME YOUR DEAR-"

"I did, Kano. Don't make me regret it." I rolled my eyes.

I could hear his happy squeals, "Alright then! Bye bye Shinora!"

"Bye Kano."

I ended the call as I quickly head to shower.

---

"What an energetic guy he is. Pity, he'll die before he knows it." Hayate sighs as he sets our table.

"He's alright. Shame, he's my enemy."

A sudden blaring sound of alarm rang through our dorm. Without hesitation, I quickly dressed up in black with my mask on. Removing my disguise, I picked up my red ruby dagger. The black blade shines as I sheath it into the pocket. I tied the strap onto my thighs as I kick the door open.

"It's finally time,"

The infiltration from the Spies has begun.
