I don't think an exposition is necessary. I'm just not willing to give this story up. As a thank you to everyone still reading it, here is a chapter.
Stiles had his first contraction when he woke up. He was alone, Derek being at the cemetery to visit his mom, it being her birthday. He didn't realize it was a contraction at first, thinking it was just another one of those random pains he sometimes had. Also, he was only at the beginning of month 9 of his pregnancy, so he didn't suspect anything.
He went downstairs of Derek and his new house, still full of unopened boxes, to make himself some tea and calm down.
It was only when the third contraction hit him that he knew something was up. Besides, the pains never woke him up at 6 in the morning, he usually slept through them.
But he didn't want to call Derek just yet, didn't want to interrupt. So he waited some more to see where it was going. But half an hour later, another contraction hit him and he couldn’t ignore it anymore. He still avoided calling Derek, knowing it would take a while for the actual birth to begin and that Derek would be home soon anyway.
He called Scott tho, who was there in the speed of light, with Isaac of course, and Scott called Melissa, who said she would be there after her shift and gave Scott directions through the phone.Stiles's parents came even tho he didn't want them to, but they promised they wouldn't get in the way or embarrass him too much.
The contractions were getting worse by the minute. Stiles was restless and he wouldn't let anyone touch him. Even when Melissa got there and insisted to check on his progress.
"I think it's time to call Derek." She told Scott quietly.
"Already did. He's on his way." Scott said.
"Well call again!" Stiles yelled, gritting his teeth through the pain. He was crouching over the couch downstairs, Cas by his side, offering him water every now and then. He would take it, but still wouldn't take any form of comforting that involved touch.
"He's not answering." Scott whispered worryingly to his mom. Melissa frowned. She knew Derek not being there meant Stiles refusing treatment and that meant possible danger for him and the baby.
"Try again. If he's still not answering go look for him. We all need him here right now." She said, her tone was demanding and a little scary, Scott thought. He called him again and again and still no answer. Isaac told him he'll go look for him in the cemetery and Scott went looking for him through the road leading there.
"Something's wrong, isn't it?" Stiles cried, rocking his hips back and forth on the floor.
"Everything is gonna be fine." Melissa said and quite literally ran out of there to the kitchen, to talk to Dean.
Cas tried soothing Stiles's back and massage him, knowing it could help a little, but it was no use. Stiles was waiting for Derek.
"Derek is not answering. I sent the boys to look for him, but if Stiles will not let me check him soon, this is going to be a problem." Melissa told Dean.
"What can we do to help?" Dean asked.
"If you could teleport Derek here, that would be nice. Otherwise, I have no idea."
"This isn't like Derek, something must have happened."
A little time went by, Scott and Isaac came back, but with no Derek.
"I'm sorry Stiles, he's nowhere to be found. I'm sure he'll turn up soon, but you have to let Melissa check on you, this isn't healthy for both of you."
"No." Stiles cried, leaning against the wall now.
Stiles was one stubborn kid, they all knew that. They almost picked up Stiles by force to the already prepared bedroom, when in came running, a sweaty, dirty, covered in blood, Derek.
