Jennies hands trembled as she sat backstage waiting to be called on stage she didn't know why she was so nervous she'd performed at the VMAS millions of times but that was a different Jennie when she was happy when her love was still hers now she was almost 30 and miserable everyone had moved on with their lives while she stayed stuck in the memories of her ex lover who she knew now was married to Somi she could see they were happy
together so she stayed away she avoided her ex band mates like the plague too they all broke her heart she was so much better off alone but she wasn't she took a job with a company in training people how to sing with girls she trained them day in day out and now they were all idols the world knew of them people praised Jennie but she always told people it was the girls hard work and determination that got them to where they are now not her they were in the audience too. She heard her name being called followed with some loud screams and cheering she wondered how loud her friends were she knew they'd be the loudest ones she cherished them a lot. She stepped out onto the stage "hi everyone im Jennie Kim " she smiled hearing chahee yell "that's my best friend!" She giggled "it's been along time since I've been up here I was a young lady then now I am an old woman" she waited for everyone to stop laughing before continuing "as you all know I've been through a lot I've done crazy things, reckless things and just down right sad things but it's all part of life so I think an 8 year hiatus was enough for me so here I am the same but a completely different person appearance wise too I didn't have many tattoos then now they tell my story of all my experiences I want to thank everyone who stuck by my side and helped me through everything and I also would like to thank my ex band mates they made me the person I am today I have immense love for all of my girls and I thank a certain person I'm sure they know who they are" she glanced at lisa before quickly looking away.

Only opening them at the chorus to glance at Lisa before looking over at Jisoo and Rosé who had tears in their eyes soon enough she felt her own tears falling the song described everything she felt when Lisa told her she didn't love her anymore her world was broken but she harboured no hate for Lisa or anyone involved she loved them all she just couldn't keep hurting herself being around them.

She remembers the gut wrenching feeling, the tears, the doubts, the worries as she watched her Lili fall in love with someone else but what could she do? All she could do was accept her cruel fate. Love is never easy in fact most love is painful like a double ended sword.
