The Biblical Women Of The Week: Eve

18 3 19

Eve, the first woman and the woman who cursed all women to have periods...I can't be the only one that has a bone to pick with her when I get to Heavan?

Then the Lord God formed man from dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. - Genesis 2-7

My Thoughts:

It's truly amazing that God created us, because truth be told he didn't have to but yet he did and because of his love for us we all stand here today:)

Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. - Genesis 2:8

(Skipping down a few verses)

And the Lord God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die." - Genesis 16-17

My Thoughts:

Now we all know that Eve nor Adam dies when they eat the fruit, but what do you think God meant when He told Adam that he would die if he ate the fruit? I believe God meant that the wonderful life Adam lived would die and he would be forced to live the harsh world outside of the garden of Eden.

The Lord God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for man." - Genesis 2:18

My Thoughts:

Ladies this is such a valuable verse, we are to be helpers to our husbands. This does not mean we are beneath them, but God intends for us to help them in life, and I don't know about you but that really touches my heart as I am the type of person who is always trying to help so for God to have helping our husbands as one of the reasons, he created us is amazing:)

Now the Lord God had formed out ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was it's name. So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals. But for Adam no suitable helper was found. - Genesis 2: 19-20

My Thoughts:

Serious as an animal lover I would love to have named the animals, I mean the sheep would have been named walking clouds and the tigers would have been named kitties with the deadly teeth, lolll.

So, the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. - Genesis 2:21-22

My Thoughts:

It's amazing how we were created from a man's rib, it means Adam was truly apart of Eve and that made their lover even greater:)

(End Of Thoughts)

The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman', for she was taken form man." - Genesis 2:23

That is why man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh. Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame. - Genesis 2:24-25

(The Fall)

Now the serpent was more craftly than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, "You must not eat from any tree in the garden?" - Genesis 3:1
