CHAPTER TWELVE: Burning Red

-----

Caleb took a few day to laze around in the house. By laze around, he practiced with his magic and tried to bloom rose bushes, turned them to dust, and widen the range of his attacks that resulted in half of the forest's trees to burned to ashes. All while laying down on the bed he placed outside for the view. Said view was no longer.

Caleb still didn't understand his own plate. He kept trying out his limits and challenging himself to go higher until his mana depleted and yet it never did. It's like those mana exhaustion prior to his first growth phase was just something that won't last after the growth phase.

His body was a lot stronger and sturdier than all seven year olds no matter what creature because he was a dragon. He was also smarter and more matured than them, but most of these just came from the prior forty years of a life he had lived before.

There was still the questions like how did he regressed? Why did he reincarnate as a dragon? It seemed like the more he grew up as a dragon, the more he forget those memories he had as a human.

He sighed at all these thoughts and decided to call Roksoo. He's going to report whatever happened in Harris Village for Roksoo to say some things about it and at least come up with some advice on what he'd need to do. He may be soldier, but he's not an experienced strategist.

"What are you doing?" Roksoo had an odd expression on his dragon face. It was kind of adorable, in Caleb's opinion.

"Wow, dongsaeng. Do you think I'm slacking?"He clicked his fingers and a fireball was thrown on the field. "I'm working hard, you see."He grinned.

"Isn't it nice to be a dragon," He leaned on the headboard and put his hands at the back of his head while he levitated the video communication device that was certainly not needed because of their telepathy.

A scoff. "Well, it is. Where are you right now?"

"In my house in the middle of the woods, I'm planning on making this a castle. Aren't I awesome?"

Roksoo rolled his eyes. "Whatever. How's your training?"

"I am training."

"I meant your swordmanship."

"What did you expect?" Cale showed his sword that was invisible the whole time. He swung it in front of him and a sunset red aura coated the blade of the sword that reflected the video communication device floating right above him.

"I am seven, but I am also a dragon."

Roksoo nodded. "Yeah."He bobbed his head up and down and Caleb suddenly had the urge to hug him.

"How's Harris Village?" Caleb hummed.

"It's pretty fine when I left it,"

"We still have a decade for it to burn, so we have a lot of time to at least train the warriors."

"Hey, don't just say that! Aren't we at least going to save them?"

Caleb was shocked. Roksoo wasn't planning on saving the villagers from annihilation? "Why?"

"Because I don't know their motives, Hyung."

Caleb pursed his lip.

"Who knows what could happen if they didn't get what they wanted in Harris? What if they get it from another one, far from here and a lot bigger than Harris? What would you do?"

Caleb crossed his arms and huffed.

It felt so wrong to just let them die.

"I know."Roksoo softly said.
