In the game, A Hat in Time, for those who don't play it/haven't played it, there is a chapter with characters named Queen Vanessa and Snatcher. Also, there is a reoccurring character called the Badge Seller.
I decided for this AU to base Timpani and Blumiere/Tippi and Count Bleck after Queen Vanessa and Snatcher. :3
(Definitely not personality-wise for Timpani/Vanessa, but more design-wise. -w-")

I do like the idea for a mix of AHIT's story of Vanessa and Snatcher and SPM's story of Timpani and Blumiere I came up with for this pair! ^3^
Princess Timpani, the equivalent of Queen Vanessa in this AU, has ice powers that she can't control. She accidentally froze over the entire Subcon, leaving an almost literally ghost town behind. Timpani stays locked up in her mansion in hopes of keeping everyone safe until she can keep her ice powers under control. (I will probably smack the first person who calls her Elsa-)
Bleck, also known as Snatcher like his counterpart, makes contracts with anyone who dares come into his forest. All of the formerly alive residents of Subcon either roam as Dwellers or became Bleck's minions via contract. He's lost many MANY minions and contract-bound "helpers" from sending them into Timpani's mansion with either letters, books, or just to check up on her.
The Badge Seller is nameless, or at least claims to be. He can be found almost anywhere but says that he came from Subcon, which may explain his appearance being similar to Dwellers. All Mario can figure out about this guy is that he sells him badges, tries to talk CONSTANTLY about seemingly random things, and he has a disturbing resemblance to Dimentio from his home dimension...
That's all I can say without spoiling the plot. The main story basically revolves around these three. -u-" X'D
HOWEVER, I do have one more out-of-context picture spoiler that will make no sense until later! XD

I gave my "testing group" (AKA my sis-) a stroke trying to figure out if this was supposed to be Blumiere, Count Bleck, Dimentio, or someone else entirely based on the design I have for them. /j
