Surprise I'm Back

Chapter 8

I sat in his lap, hoping and praying he didn’t want to make love tonight.  I was too tired from the romp Shaun and I had just a little while ago.  His aggressiveness was telling me different.  I pulled back from the kiss and he seemed a bit annoyed. 

“Kevin, we need to stop before we start something.  I have to be in at 7:00 am and it’s already past midnight.  I’m sorry babe, but I have to get some sleep.”

“I know Nikki, it’s just I’ve missed you and I wanted to see you.” 

“Listen why don’t you come by the hospital tomorrow and we can do lunch.” 

“I can’t sweetheart, I have 3 court cases tomorrow and I would leave it to my partner, but he isn’t familiar with any of my cases.”

“I truly understand, but I have a lot to do and I was going to make time for us to go to lunch.”

“We still have tomorrow night.”  I sat deep in thought and conceded.  She stood and put her mouth close to his ear and her warm breathe gave him chills and his member started to pulsate as she whispered.

“Boo boo, don’t be upset with me, I promise you can have your fill of me tomorrow night.” He looked at me with those sexy brown eyes and smiled. 

“Oh, don’t worry I will get my fill.  By the time I’m sated, you will need a hot bath so you can soak.  I’m gonna get that ass every way imaginable.”

I smirked at him and told him to go for it.  He turned and walked to the door, I reached up and kissed him and pulled him closer to me.  He broke the kiss, turned around and walked out the door. 

I hurried back upstairs and went straight to my bedroom.

“Shaun, I am so sor-ry, I watched him lying across my bed sleeping so peacefully.  I didn’t wake him; I just got another blanket climb in the bed with him, and fell into dreamland. 

I woke up to the flavor of bacon and how wonderful it smelled.  I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth, wash my face and went downstairs.  I stood in the doorway watching Shaun prepare breakfast for us.  I smiled and walked in, putting my arms around his waist.

“Good morning sunshine, how did you sleep last night?”

“Ah I slept like a baby.”

“And how is my princess doing today” 

“How did you sleep?” 

“Very well, thank you.”   

“Listen Shaun, I apologize that you were upstairs, and it took me so long.  I couldn’t get Kevin to go home he wanted to spend the night; but that would have been a catastrophe, so I stayed down stairs to appease him.”

“Nik, I understand, do what you have to do, it’s no big deal;  I told you, I know you have someone else, and I’m a patient man.”  “I heard him tell you he was ready to marry you, what have you decided?”

“Actually, no I haven’t thought about it.” “I’m not so sure I want to get married right now.  Besides it’s taken him six years to tell me this.”  “I don’t know Shaun; I just have some things I need to sort out.”

“Well like I said I’m a patient man, and I don’t give up easily.”

I smiled at that and went to the refrigerator and took out the coffee, to make us a cup.  Shaun finished cooking; he told me to sit down and brought me a plate with home fries, bacon, eggs, and pancakes.  I haven’t had a breakfast like this since I lived with my parents.

“Wow, this is some spread you have here; how did you cook this much in such a short time.” 

“I was up about 5:30; I went running and ran about seven miles, came back and took a quick shower in the main bathroom because I didn’t want to wake you.  I came down here and looked in the fridge to see what you had and you know the rest.”

I began to eat and everything was delicious.  I couldn’t stop eating, it was primo.  All I could do was moan it was so good.

“I didn’t know you had such talent.”

“There’s a lot you don’t know about me, and I want to share it all with you.”

I looked at him with such adoration; he is so sweet, how can you not fall in love with a guy like that.

After we finished with breakfast I told him to leave the dishes I would take care of them when I got home, but he insisted that he wash them, because he cooked.  I was astonished that he wanted to clean up the dishes.  This is really an amazing man.

“Why don’t you go upstairs and get ready for work.”

“I don’t want you to be late; I know how hard you work and the others count on you for your expertise.”

I smiled at him and turned to walk to the stairs; I turned back and went to the kitchen and gave him the most passionate and hot kiss I could muster up.  My direct approach caught him off guard, but he quickly came back to me and matched my intensity.  I broke the kiss and he gave me puppy dog eyes, but he let me out of his embrace. 

“Well I should come over and cook for you more often, if that’s your way of showing your appreciation.”

“That was the only thing I could think of at the time.” 

I turned to walk off and I sashayed to the stairs shaking my ass making follow me like a little lost puppy. 

“Girl, you betta stop before you don’t make it to work at all today.”

I gave him a seductive grin and he just moaned, I could tell I hit a nerve within his body.  I continued getting dressed for work.  When I was fully dressed, I grabbed my purse and we walked out of the house.  Shaun grabbed me up almost into a bear hug and kissed me.  I swear he just doesn’t get enough of me; and I’m ok with that. 

I love the feeling of being in Shaun’s arms, and I know he enjoys me in his arm just as well. I just have to figure out what I want to do about Kevin and me.  I love him and I am proud of him and his career, but I just don’t think we really feel that we have that deep connection. 

Marriage is more than living, sleeping and making love together.  Marriage is very spiritual and not meant to be taken light and I don’t want to get married and then end up divorced before a year is up. Well I will put that in the back of mind for right now I have to get to work, I have a feeling it’s gonna be a long day.
