Klaus, Diego, and I, were sitting down at a table near the bar. "That little delinquent is your son?" Klaus asked. "Allegedly my son," Diego corrected. "That's so funny!" Klaus exclaimed. "I don't see you as a father. But you guys sorta look alike," I said. "I actually see it," Klaus agreed. Five walked over to us."Wait, who's—who's the mother?" he asked. "Lila," Diego answered. "Excuse me?" Klaus replied. "Lila's here?" I asked. "Was. She dropped him off in my lap last night then bolted," Diego explained. "I don't much care for that one," Klaus admitted. "Don't," Diego warned. "Technically she's family," Five admitted. "She was trying to murder us, like yesterday," Klaus reminded us. "Yeah like I said 'Family'. Diego is she coming back?" Five asked. "Well, she goddamn better be because we got more important things to be dealing with right now!" Diego shouted. "Calm down," I told him. "Where's Luther?" a voice asked. We turned around to see Vanya, with shorter hair. "Who cares? Probably out for—a run," Diego replied. "Mm! Love the haircut," Klaus complimented. "So I uh, talked to Marcus last night," Vanya told us. "Wait what? You talked with the enemy? By yourself?" Diego asked. "Somebody had to do something," Vanya explained. "Who elected you Vanya?" Diego asked. "It's, uh, Viktor," Vanya corrected. "Who's Viktor?" I asked. "I am," Viktor answered. "It's who I've always been," he added. I didn't know what to say, but I was happy for him. "Uh is that an issue for anyone?" he asked. "Nah I'm good with it," Diego spoke. "Yeah me too. Cool," Klaus agreed. "I find that cool too," I agreed. "Truly happy for you Viktor," Five congratulated. "But last time I checked, you don't speak for this family," Five declared. "Okay, well, it's fine, okay? Marcus totally gets it. He doesn't want to war anymore than we do," Viktor explained. "What are you Talking about? He tried to homicide us!" Diego exclaimed. "So did Lila, and you had a kid with her," Klaus added. "That's not the point!" Diego disagreed. "Listen, we made a deal. He's gonna give back Five's briefcase, then we're gonna get out of the timeline. We're gonna meet later today for the, uh, the handover," Viktor explained. "Oh thank god," Klaus grinned. "That's a rookie move. Dude is playing you," Diego disagreed. "Oh really?" Viktor asked. "Yeah, but maybe we can use this. And we turn it back on them, and then we wipe them the hell out," Diego suggested. "Diego, stop, please," I pleaded. "You're not gonna like do anything today," Viktor added. "Except bond with your spawn," Klaus responded. "Alleged spawn," Diego corrected. "I will get the briefcase, and then we will all go back and fix the timeline," Viktor explained. "Hey, we're not going anywhere! This is a perfectly acceptable timeline," Five responded. "Yeah, why don't you tell that to Allison, who's upstairs grieving her daughter, who doesn't even exists here," Viktor stated. I could feel Five staring at me. "Not to mention, we've been replaced by a bunch of blobs and cubes and birds and shit!" Diego exclaimed. "News flash, geniuses! It's not about us! Take a look around. If you hadn't noticed, there's no doomsday. There's no apocalypse. The sun is shining. Birds are doing whatever the hell birds do. That's all that matters. We're done messing with time. And I'm officially retired," Five stated. Five got up and motioned for me to follow. Klaus sniffed him when he got up. "Is he wearing aftershave? I'm concerned," Klaus said. I sighed and got up to follow Five to the bar.

As I got the bar, Five handed me a drink. He began to get a plate to serve himself food. "So, I've been thinking, since last night, maybe this is the break we needed," Five stated. "What do you mean?" I asked, as I took a sip out of the drink. "Maybe now we can live our life together, you know? Live together, have a family," Five explained. "Hey!" someone shouted from behind me. I turn around to see Klaus with a smile on his face. "Wait, did I interrupt something?" he asked. "You sure did," Five smiled at him. He grabbed my hand and walked us to the trays of food. "Sorry about that. Anyways, how about we get outta here, huh? Take a little—road trip," Klaus suggested. "What are you talking about?" I asked. "I'm talking about a sojourn to the countryside. You two and me, the wind in our hair. Living our best lives!" Klaus exclaimed. He came closer to us. "Listen to me, I nearly died from Luther's sleep farts last night. We need to get out of here, get some fresh air!" Klaus whisper shouted. "Okay, I'll bite. Why us, Klaus?" Five asked. "Beside you said—you said you're retired, and that's what retired people do. And plus, where ever you go, (Y/n) goes! She's still like your tiny little pet, following you around and obeying your every request.'Oh of course I'll kiss you Five!'. 'Yeah you better my sweet angel,'. And don't you guys deserve some fun?" Klaus asked. "Wait there's no lobsters," Five spoke. "What?" I asked. "There were three lobsters in that tank a minute ago," Five explained. "Well, you know, maybe Chet blended 'em into a morning smoothie," Klaus suggested. We all looked at each other. "You're an idiot, but we're in," Five agreed. "Whoo!" Klaus exclaimed. He walked away smiling. "We?" I asked Five. "Yeah. This could be part of our break," Five suggested. I sighed. "Alright sure," I agreed. Klaus came back. "Let's prepare," Klaus said. Five gave up on serving himself food after there wasn't any lobsters. Klaus guided us to the stairs. "We'll get a few road sodas for the journey. I mean, sometimes you gotta clear the head out. Get the rats out of the the maze, you know?" Klaus asked. "Ugh come on," Five told him. We got into the elevator and went to our floor.
