𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 had their eyes wide open. Their screams were muffled. Five glanced at Reginald then went back to looking at (Y/N). His eyes wondered to the item covered in paper every now and then. He's itching to ask her about it when the time is right.

After a few moments, the lights turned back to blue and everyone took off the equipment that were in their mouth. "Oh my god." Luther panted. (Y/N) looked up at Five and then started to unstrap herself. He helped her as she stood up. She lunged for Reginald but Five grabbed her by the waist and pulled her back. Allison walked towards Reginald. "You murdered our brother!" She exclaimed. Five eyes widened and he felt (Y/N) calming down. "And Jennifer." (Y/N) added. "Son of a bitch." Diego stood up. Five wrapped his arms around (Y/N) and kept her to himself. Clearly everyone who saw how Ben died were having the same reaction. "Children! Whatever anger you may feel towards me is misdirected. May I remind you, that it was the other Sir Reginald Hargreeves who committed this horrible act." Reginald defended himself. "What are you going on about?" Lila asked the siblings. "While on the mission, the 'other' Hargreeves killed Ben and Jennifer." (Y/N) explained to her. "And he had a perfectly valid reason for doing so." Reginald defended the other Reginald. "They were two innocent kids!" Viktor exclaimed. "Who would have set off a cataclysmic chain of events, leading to the extinction of all humanity." Reginald explained. "You are no different than the other Hargreeves." Luther walked closer to him. "You're both fucking psychopaths!" Diego was on the verge of tears. Abigail stepped in front of Reginald. "It's not his fault. Reg is not responsible for what happened to your brother and that poor girl. I am." She confessed. "Years ago, I synthesized a new element. The very essence of the universe." She started to explain. "The particle we know as marigold." Reginald cleared up any confusion. "And at the same moment, unbeknownst to me, a second particle was created. Durango. When marigold and Durango interact, they cause a reaction, a physical reaction. Unstoppable, irrevocable. The extinction of everything we know." Abigail explained. "The Cleanse." Five spoke. "By the time I realized what was happening, it was too late for our world." Abigail finished. "That's why our Reginald killed Ben. Because he came in contact with Jennifer when he helped her escape that tank." (Y/N) figured out. "Which caused the reaction." Five added to what she said. "The other particle, Durango, is inside of Jennifer." Reginald confirmed. "That's why it's imperative that none of you can come into contact with her." Reginald told them. "What happens if we do?" (Y/N) asked. "We end the world." Five replied. "Uh...guys?" Luther caught everyone's attention. "We...may have a problem." Luther nervously said.

They were all sitting in the living room of Reginald's home. "I don't understand. What? You just let him go?" Lila asked Luther. "Well, how was I suppose to know Ben was infected with this...whatever this thing is?" Luther stuffed food into his mouth. "Great work, Luther. Really great." Five sarcastically said. "The rash on his arm. What did it look like?" Abigail asked Luther. "I dunno. It was just kind of...You know, it kind of looked like that thing that Klaus caught when he came home from Ibiza." Luther described. Everyone groaned. "Are you a doctor? Or do you just play one at bachelorette parties?" Diego asked. "Hey! I am a professional dancer." Luther corrected. "Luther, was there anything unusual about this rash?" Abigail questioned. "No. It was just, you know, red. And glowing. And pulsating." He said, as he ate his cookie in concern. Diego groaned. "You didn't think maybe that was worth bringing up?" Five asked. "I just thought it had something to do with our powers coming back. I mean, we've all been having issues. I know I have." Luther tried to defend himself. "I've heard enough." Reginald said. He left and came back with a rifle. "Whoa! What we are you doing?" Lila asked. Luther stood up and looked at him and so did Abigail. Five stood in front of (Y/N). "It's time to hunt!" Reginald exclaimed. "He's gonna kill Ben all over again." Viktor told everyone. "One of the hosts must be eliminated before the reaction is complete!" Reginald exclaimed. "Reaction? You do realize that you're talking about human beings and not lab rats, correct?" Allison asked. "Reggie, please. Listen to your children. You can't just murder him." Abigail said. "She's right. There has to be another way." Luther suggested. "I understand. You've grown attached to your brother. But you don't seem to appreciate what's at stake here." Reginald responded. "We must act before it's too late." He advised and started to walk away. Allison threw an antique at him and hit the back of his head. He groaned and fell to the grown. "How about you shut your mouth?" Allison asked. He turned and looked at her. "How dare you?!" He exclaimed. She walked towards him. "You know I think it's high time you realize you're not running the show here anymore, old man." Allison advised. Reginald went to get his rifle but Viktor used his powers on him to hold him still. "Don't even think about it!" Viktor yelled, as he walked towards him. "You think these childish theatrics will stop me?" Reginald asked. "Okay, well, I can step it up a notch if you like." Viktor used more of his powers on him. "Viktor, please don't hurt him!" Abigail pleaded. "Why not? Why shouldn't I? All he does is hurt everybody else. Ben, Jennifer, me. All of us." Viktor started to name. "Spare me the waterworks. One life isn't more important than the entire planet." Reginald replied. "Oh, but your wife's is." Viktor reminded. "You stuck your nose in where it didn't belong and you allowed Jennifer to escape. This is your fault!" Reginald exclaimed. "Oh no, no, no! This is your fault! My whole life, all I wanted was for you to see me, to make me a part of the team. Instead, you treated me like I was broken. And I believed you. I thought you knew me better than I knew myself but I know now you don't know shit! You're the failure. You're the reason this happened! And I am not gonna let you kill Ben! Not now, not ever! Am I clear?" Viktor started to pant. His breath became shaky and Reginald looked at him with a new set of emotions in his eyes. "Viktor, that's enough." Abigail touched his shoulder. He powered down and looked at her. Reginald slowly stood up. "You and your father. Both so headstrong." Abigail commented. Reginald exhaled and fixed his suit. A security guard arrived and whispered something into Reginald's ear. "Oh." Reginald said. "What?" Viktor asked. "It seems we may have found your brother." Reginald informed.
