"Are you still mad at me about the gum?" asked Adrien.
At the moment, Adrien and Marinette were having a conversation away from the others. The boy felt confused and saddened because of Marinette's attitude. He noticed her glaring at him every time he was with you and he doesn't understand it one bit. Adrien hoped to ease things out between them which is why they were talking privately.
Marinette looked down at her toes, nervously avoiding eye contact. "No... I- I was just jealous," said she.
"Huh? About what?"
"That you like (Y/n)... I mean, she's the best friend you could ever ask for. I'm not ready to give her up to...anyone," Marinette answered. She stood her ground and met Adrien's shocked face.
"Was I that obvious..?" asked Adrien. His face was flushed with red and this time, he was the one avoiding the eyes of his crush's best friend.
