As soon as you awoke, the sound of your door bursting open startled you. Before you could react, a familiar voice filled the room.
"I'm so glad you're here!" Felix exclaimed, rushing forward to envelop you in a warm hug. His embrace was tight, filled with both relief and concern.
You patted Felix's back in confusion. "What's going on?"
Felix chuckled warmly, pulling away from the hug. "Just woke up, huh? Let's get you some breakfast, Star. I've been so worried about you."
As you gazed at the note in your hand, your eyes scanned the familiar handwriting of Nathaniel. The message indicated that he would meet you at school.
"School!" you exclaimed, a surge of realization and urgency coursing through you. You quickly got to your feet and started heading toward the kitchen. "I've got school!"
Felix's laughter reached your ears, and you looked over to see him, a warm and amused expression on his face. "You're already late. What's the trouble in skipping a day?"
