Soon after, a knock echoed through your home. Descending the stairs in quick strides, you swung the door open to find Chloe standing there.
"Oh, there you are! Have you seen Angel Blanc around?" she inquired, smoothly entering your house without waiting for an invitation.
"No? Why?"
Chloe arched an elegant eyebrow. "Are you certain? I distinctly saw her heading in this direction."
You offered a small smile. "Really? Well, that's news to me."
"Oh, come on! I know it's you. Everyone in class knows," Chloe quipped, her tone light. "Anyways, are you alright? I haven't heard from you in days!"
You maintained your smile. "I'm all good."
Chloe's gaze remained fixed on you, her expression unreadable. "Huh, you're giving me a real Lila vibe right now."
