Everybody was quiet, in a state of shock as we wondered through the woods, looking for the baby demogorgon until Lucas finally broke the silence.

"Are you sure that was Dart?" he asked.

"Yes. He had the exact same yellow pattern on his butt," Dustin explained.

"He was tiny two days ago," Max pointed out, her eyebrows furrowing as she tried to connect the dots.

"Well, be molted three times already, Remember?" I pointed out, remembering what Dustin had said earlier.

"Molted?" Steve asked.

"Molted. Shed his skin to make room for growth like hornworms," Dustin explained to him.

"Whens he gonna molt again?" Max asked.

"It's gotta be soon," Dustin began. "When he does, he'll be fully grown or close to it and so will his friends,"

"Yeah, and he's gonna eat a lot more than just cats," Steve said dryly.

"Wait, a cat?" Lucas asked, shocked to hear that. "Dart ate a cat?"

"No, what? No," Dustin claimed. Lucas stopped walking to look at Dustin.

"Dustin, you didn't tell them he ate Mews?" I asked him. They had to know all of this or else why would they be here in the first place?

"Mew? Who's Mews?" Max asked.

"It's Dustin's cat," Steve explained simply.

"Steve!" Dustin yelled.

"I knew it! You kept him!" Lucas accused.

"No! No. No, I," Dustin stuttered out, trying to come up with a good reason. "He missed me. He wanted to come home,"

"Bullshit,"

"Guys, who cares? We have to go," Max tried to say.

"I care! You put the party in jeopardy! You broke the rule of law!" Lucas claimed.

"So did you!" Dustin yelled.

"What?" Lucas asked.

"You told a stranger the truth!" Dustin explained, pointing at Max.

"A stranger?" Max scoffed.

"You wanted to tell her too!" Lucas yelled. The boys continued fighting as the rest of us stood around and watched. I tried to pay attention to the fight until I jumped in surprise. I heard the growl of a demogorgon.

"Hey, guys!" I yelled out when I heard the growl again. They needed to stay focused on what was happening here, right now, and not on their stupid fight.

"Guys!" Steve yelled again, catching onto what I heard. Everyone got quiet as they realized what they sound was. I began to walk in the direction of the snarls with Steve right behind me and the kids trailing behind. I heard Max trying to reason with us not to go, but we kept walking anyway. We had to figure out where these things were going before they hurt anyone or anything else.
