We all took some more steps forward and paused looking up at the gates. All of a sudden the bin tipped over, and everyone shot round to see a possum, which Daryl immediately shot.

The gate opened to reveal a clean looking man who stared at us in shock. I looked round at my family and saw that we were all covered in blood, sweat, and dirt, while this man stood looking like he had showered this morning.

"We brought dinner." Daryl said holding up the dead possum.

"It's okay." Aaron said calming us, "Come on in, guys."

We all cautiously went stepped inside, following the two men. The gate slid shut behind us.

"Before we take this any further, I need you all to turn over your weapons. Stay, you hand them over." The new guy said. I let a low rumble emit from my throat, catching a few stares.

"We don't know if we want to stay." Rick said to this dumbass. I gave Max a knowing look, us realising that we needed this place. It was safe. It had walls. Judith would be safe, Carl would be safe. My pups would be safe.

"It's fine, Nicholas." Aaron said turning to the man before looking at us.

"If we were gonna use them, we would have started already." Rick said truthfully.

"Let them talk to Deanna first." Aaron said simply.

"Who's Deanna?" Abraham called out.

"She knows everything you' wanna know about this place. Rick, why don't you start?"

Rick turned hearing the snarling of a Walker, "Sasha."

Sasha raised her gun and blew half it's head off, killing it.

"It's a good thing we're here." Rick muttered, before walking on with me hot on his tail, while Max stayed with the pups.

We ended up in a decent room, with Rick pacing, with me behind a couch, hidden out of sight.

"Hello. I'm Deanna Monroe." The woman - presumably Deanna - said.

"Rick Grimes." Rick said sharply.

"You mind if I film this?" Deanna asked.

"What?"

"Do you mind if I film our talk?" She asked repeatedly.

"Go ahead. Why film this?"

"We're about transparency here. How long have you been out there?" The woman asked, beginning the interrogation.

"Since the beginning." Rick responded.

"How did you all find each other? Did you know each other before or...?" Deanna asked, getting personal.

"We didn't know each other before." Rick said sitting.

"I was a congressperson. Ohio, 15th district. You?" Deanna said.

"I don't think it matters anymore." Rick said. Damn right it don't, I'm putting the past behind me from when the world filled with the dead. Anything before that, it didn't matter.

I stood up from my spot and walked round letting out a snarl, walking towards her.

"Oh, I know it does." She said eyeing me up.

"Finn, enough." Rick said quietly, before getting me to lay down, and I did but not without staring Dranba down viciously.

"What is this place?" Rick asked fearlessly.
