Kevin woke slowly, rubbing his eyes of sleep as he took in his surroundings, the room was beginning to become light as morning came around.
Looking over, he saw his two
boyfriend's Adam and Jay fast asleep, snuggled into each other, Jays face stuffed into Adams neck, and his hands clutching the shirt that Adam was wearing tightly.
As if feeling someone staring at him, the blonde haired officer woke up, smiling at Kevin but not moving so that the young detective could stay sleeping for a few more minutes.
"Morning Kev" Adam whispered, shifting slightly but keeping a arm round Jay
"Morning Ad" Kevin replied softly, leaning over and kissing Adam gently
"He managed a night of no nightmares" Adam smiled, chuckling as Kevin rolled closer to cuddle into Jay as well
"One day at a time" Kevin replied, placing a gentle kiss on Jays forehead
A soft groan broke the older two officers apart from their silence, abd looking down they were surpised to see Jay slowly waking up. Despite him having a night of no nightmares, the man had been exhausted and they were sure he'd havr slept for longer.
"Hey baby boy" Adam whispered gently, chuckling as Jay just curled in closer to Adams body warmth
"You ok little one?" Kevin asked gently
"Cold" Jay whispered, bringing one hand round to pull Kevin closer to him
"Did you sleep ok?" Kevin whispered, kissing Jays forehead softly
"Mmmm, was warm" Jay replied quietly, head not moving from Adams neck, his hands fiddling with Kevins hand that had come to rest on his waist
"Good, I'm glad to hear it" Adam whispered
The relationship was still new, between the three of them, Adam and Kevin had been dating for four years when they had introduced Jay into it just three months ago.
The younger man was still struggling to let them in properly, even though they had worked together going on 9 years. He was a fragile man with a rough past, and he hated people knowing about it.
"Do we have work today?" Jay asked, wriggling a little bit to lay on his back
"We do, so come on you little heater, up and at em please" Adam chuckled, sitting up and getting out of the warm bed, Kevin following behind him
The older two looked back when they heard a small whimper from the bed they had just left, and their hearts broke when they saw the youngest in tears. Not sure what had set him off the older two looked at each other in confusion.
"ai wanna stay home" was all the Detective cried
"Baby boy, whats a matter, you're ok?" Adam soothed, rushing back to Jay and bringing him in for a tight hug
"Hurst" Jay whimpered
"What hurts little one?" Kevin asked, kneeling by Jay
"My head and ears" the smaller man admitted, and its when the older two noticed the slight fever the man was sporting
"Oh little one" Kevin sighed, standing up and reaching into the bedside drawer to find the thermometer they kept in there
"We can't call in sick baby, but you can sleep in the break room" Adam whispered, the Intelligence Unit was in the middle of a huge case meaning that no time off could he allowed
"You have a fever, come on, lets have a shower while Adam starts the coffee" Kevin soothed, taking Jays hands and guiding him into the bathroom
Jay leaned into Kevins body, hiding his face while trying to keep his breathing as calm as he could, he felt the safest when in his boyfriends arms, whether it be Adams or Kevins.
The two quickly showered, Kevin smiling softly at Jay who just stood there, not moving. It was always a hard time when Jay was sick, he didnt have the best immune system. All the time in the military catching up on him.
"There we go little one, already cooler, want to wear tracksuit today insteas of jeans?" Kevin asked as he dried the smaller man
"Mmmm" Jay whispered, leaning closer to Kevin
"Ok, not very talkative today little one" Kevin asked
"Mmmm" was all he got in reply
