The Intelligence Unit had been trying to get a case closed for about a year; men had been coming forward about a man lurking around their work or following them home. In the year they had been investigating only one man had gone missing, and he had been found 2 months ago.

The suspect chose his suspects; and they all followed a pattern. Brown hair, bright blue eyes and aged 28 years old; the lastan had been lucky to escape without injuries but had been traumatised from what he had been through. He had mentioned that the man was older, and had kept saying, "You're home now baby, daddy is here".

"Has anyone got anything?" Hank asked as he walked in on Monday morning

"I've found a pattern; so a kid went missing 28 years ago, and was found until 5 years later; traumatised" Adam spoke up

"Ok, but I don't see the pattern?" Kim said, eyes wide

"Well, when that 8 year old was found, a year later a 9 year old disappeared but turned up 8 months later, the year after that, a bunch of 10 years old went missing, all turning up unharmed, I kept diving in and it doesn't stop, every year there is 100 reports, of specific aged boys and men going missing and then turns up 8 months later" Adam read, and it caught Jays attention as he realised the connection that he hadn't seen before

"Oh fuck" was all Jay muttered before he ran from his desk and to the bathroom, the team watching with wide eyes

Hank followed his boyfriend through the back, finding him retching into the toilet, while he sobbed heavily. The older Sergeant shut the door bebind him and situated himself behind Jay, supporting him as he let out clearly frustrated tears.

"What's going on babe?" Hank asked softly

"I think I know who's doing this" Jay whispered, leaning back into his older lovers chest

"Talk to me baby" Hank soothed, rubbing Jays tense stomach gently

"Remember when I joined the unit, I had like 6 years of nothing; no school or anything like that" Jay mumbled

"Yea" Hank spoke

"That child that went missing, 20 years ago, and was then found, that's me" Jay whispered, tensing up as he released a secret he had kept for years

"Oh Jay" Hank sighed, hugging the detective close as he begun to cry

"I hid it for so long, I had the files sealed so nobody would ever make the connection, but then we got this case and it wasn't until Adam said that I realised it was all happening" Jay cried, turning so he was cuddled into Hanks chest

"We need to let the team know, we need to unseal your file babe" Hank sighed, shushing Jay when he cried louder

"It's alot" Jay cried

"That's ok, we can keep this bit in house, nobody else needs to know" Hank soothed, helping Jay stand up and wiping the tears from his face

"I love you Hank" Jay whispered, hugging the older man close

"I love you too baby, so much" Hank whispered back, unlocking the bathroom door and guiding Jay back into the main bull pen

"Sarge, we can't access the file, its been sealed" Adam spoke

"I know, and I'll explain" Hank sighed, pushing Jay to sit at his desk but the man stayed holding on the man

"It's me" Jay whispered, "That's my file"

The whole team stayed silent as the took in the words the youngest Detective had just spoken; they looked at Hank who nodded to confirm that the detective had spoken the truth.
