After dancing non-stop for a while, he couldn't take it anymore, and finally menage to part from Lavender for a bit, as she told him she was going to grab two drinks.

He spotted Harry and Ron sitting together at one of the table, Ron emotionlessly staring at the couples dancing.

Y/N arrived just in time to see their partners leave them both.

He sat down next to them.

Y/N: Hey.
He muttered.

They both looked at him.
Harry: How's it going?
He asked.

Y/N's face hardened.
Y/N: You know, I think it would have been better if this whole ball thing hadn't existed at all.
He said.

Harry&Ron: Agreed.
They both said in unison.

That's when Hermione made her way towards them, he hair slightly messed up.

Y/N: Hi.
He muttered, lazily waving his hand.

Hermione: Viktor went to grab something to drink.
She said.

Y/N looked at her.
He had never seen her that happy before.

Ron: Oh, hasn't he asked you to call him Vicky yet?
He said sarcastically.

Both Hermione and Y/N looked at him. Hermione then looked at Y/N.

Hermione: So? How's it going with Lavender?
She asked, ignoring Ron.

Y/N looked at her.
Y/N: She was my last resort. I had to ask her, or else I would've got a two months detention.
He muttered darkly.

Hermione: Seriously?
She asked.

Y/N: McGonagall blackmailed me! I didn't even want to participate. If only she had let me be, I would be in my bed sleeping, by now!
He complained.

Hermione laughed a little.
Heemione: She can't be that bad.
She said.

Y/N: Hermione, she laughs like a fucking hyena. Her goddamn smile usettles me. She gives me the creeps.
He said, shivering at the thought, as Harry and Ron tried not to laugh.

He then got up.

Y/N: I'll go for a walk. I can't stand to stay inside this room any longer.
He said, looking at a couple of Ravenclaws with disdain.

He then left, and headed outside.
The cold night breeze felt amazing on his skin.

He sat on the ground, gazing at the moon, lost in his own world for a while.

Some time later, he went back to the Great Hall. It was almost midnight, and it wasn't as full of people as before.

Hermione was sitting all alone, crying her eyes out.

He sat down beside her, patting her back.
Y/N: What happened?
He asked.

Hermione: I-It's nothing.
She said.

Y/N: Hermione, don't lie to me. Would you mind explaining?
He asked.

She chuckled a bit.
Hermione: I just argued with Ron. That's all.
She said.

Y/N nodded.
Y/N: I see... Where's Viktor, by the way?
He asked, looking around.

Hermione just shrugged.
Hermione: I don't really know.
She said, sighing.

Y/N: Alright. How about we go dancing a little more, then?
He asked.

She gave him a small smile.
Hermione: Sure, I'd love to.
