Appearing in Jeremy's room, Heidi sat on the edge of his bed, staring blankly at the wall beside her. She'd vowed to protect Anna even if it killed her, she should've been the one to die. Even in her last moments, her sister wanted to protect her and it had ended up costing her everything. The only reason they stayed in this stupid town another night was because she'd wanted to go and see Jeremy to say goodbye, it ended costing her best friend her life.

Coming out of the bathroom, Jeremy jumped slightly when he saw Heidi sat on the edge of his bed, shocked she was okay. He instantly rushed over to her and wrapped his arms around she as she remained still, forcing her tears not to fall. As he whispered into her hair about how happy he was that she was there she continued to stare blankly ahead, directly at the wall.

"Anna's dead, Jer." Heidi was no longer able to hold back the sob as she melted into his embrace, hating how her immediate thought was that she missed Anna's embrace. "It's all my fault, it should've been me, I should've been the one to die, he was going to kill me and..." she cut off her rambling with a choked back sob while Jeremy held her tightly.

"Hey, don't say that, she wouldn't want you to blame yourself." Jeremy whispered, rubbing shapes into her shoulder. He hated seeing her in such a state, it broke his heart hearing her say such a thing about herself.
