97) Le Sage

Maudgalyayana is one of Gautama Buddha's closest followers, often referred as Mugilannan in Tamil literature. He is known as Buddha's second most important male pupil who met the Buddha and become monks under him and shortly thereafter reached enlightenment.

It's been three weeks since Sailaja's journey to Juneau for the expedition. Vikraman was able to convince those close to him that everything is alright, but in reality, he is gradually returning to his old self. For several days, Vikram had been having sleeplessness. He started drinking more frequently and has been sneakily missing meals. He was regularly cutting himself apart from other people and had started acting increasingly irritable.

Vikram just replied those who inquire about his recent behavioural changes that he is just a little preoccupied at work. Although Dhuruvan had a sneaking suspicion that Vikraman was not being completely truthful, he wasn't too concerned about it. However, Dhuruvan was recently irritated by Vikram's harshness to everyone around him.

Vikram, however, will be a completely different person on the weekends because he made sure he had to look decent in front of Sailaja. In fact, it appears that Vikram is bipolar during the week and completely normal during the weekends. His family was very concerned about this change because it made it clear that Vikram was experiencing some mental health issue.

(Early in the morning)

When it was certain that Mugilanna wasn't in the room, Vikram stealthily entered there. Moving to the medicine cabinet, Vikram quickly grabbed the prescriptions he required and tucked them away in his pockets.
