Chapter 20

Tragic Love Story

Nova walked into Kaden shooting multiple men.

He quickly turned around and aimed his gun at her.

"It's just me" She says

"Nova" He sighed in relief.

"Kaden you need to leave" Nova says

"What? Not without you and Noah" He says

"We have many bombs attached to us. They're set to go off in 10 minutes. I'm ending this for our daughter Kaden so please leave. Go take care of our daughter." She says

"No, I won't leave you here to die. You're fucking insane if you think I'm leaving you guys here" He says

Nova walks closer and places her hands on each side of this face.

"I love you Kaden. You're the first and only person I've been in love with. After all these years, it's always been you. Go home to our daughter Kaden" Nova smiles

"I don't know how to live in a world without you. Please Nova, don't make me tell our daughter you're gone" He begs

"I'll always be with you two. Let me stop this cycle of violence and torture. I want our daughter to know what a family is supposed to feel like. Tell her I love her Kaden" She cries

"I don't know if I can do this without you, I can't imagine spending my life with someone other than you Nova" He says hugging Nova

"You can. I have so much trust that you'll do an amazing job with her. Meet someone new and make sure you're both happy. Don't spend anymore time being sad for me. I want you guys to be happy so please go before she loses both of us" Nova says

"It'll always be you. I'll love you forever Nova" Kaden says pulling away from the hug.

"I'll love you forever too. We'll meet again in every lifetime. It'll be us, always." She says

"I wish our story didn't end like this" Nova whispers

"it won't" He whispers trying to convince himself.

She just kisses him until Jake and Alex walk in.

"Nova?" Jake says running towards her.

"Oh Jake" She says seeing his horrible state.

"Please tell me Noah was lying. Just tell him we're all going home. Let's go, I don't want to be here anymore" Jake cries in Novas arms.

"You'll be okay Jake. You'll meet someone and live the life you deserve. Have a lot of fun for the both of us and remember i'll always listen when you need it the most. I know it hurts but don't wait on us forever. Be there for Audrey when she needs a friend and never give up Jake. I love you so much. You have to go." Nova says holding her bestfriend.

She lets go and turns to Alex who's staring at the floor.

"I don't want you to do this" He whispers

"It'll be okay" She says wrapping her arms around him.

"You two were my little siblings. I don't want to lose you both" He says

"I know but there's no other solution right now so let's just keep moving forward. Thank you for everything Alex. You were the older brother we've always wanted" Nova says

"I love you Nova. I'll watch over Audrey til my last breath"

"I know you will. I love you." She says then backs away.

She gives all the boys one last glance before meeting eyes with Kaden.

He shakes his head.

"I can't do this. I won't let you kill yourself. I won't lose you again." Kaden says walking towards Nova.

She puts her arms around him and feels his body go limp.

"What'd you do?" Jake asked

"I knew I had to drug him. It'll only last an hour so please get out of here." Nova says while Alex picks Kaden up.

"Tell Enzo and Bella that we loved them deeply and that we're sorry. Remind Audrey that I love her. Please"

The boys nod and stare at Nova then eventually make their way out of the warehouse.

She watches them leave them looks down at the timer.
