I must have been quite for a while because he looked concerned
"Huh?" I said trying to avoid eye contact

Usually I would but this particular thing I could not talk to him about, not even if my life depended on it.
"Nah it's okay" I say finally making eye contact with him giving him a reassuring smile

It was in fact not okay but I couldn't tell him that. What was I supposed to say 'Hey Shane it just clicked in my brain that I have a crush on you and I'm freaking out about it'. Definitely not.
