Imperial Palace, Japan

Back in the High School DxD world, inside the Imperial Palace of Japan, a lone figure sat in the Emperor's private chamber.

A silent tension filled the room.

The Emperor of Japan, Hayama Masaru, observed his unexpected guest with measured caution. Despite his composed demeanor, he felt an unsettling presence in this mysterious white-haired man, whose existence seemed to distort reality itself.

'Who is he? How did he get here without alerting security?'

The Emperor straightened his posture, eyes cold and unreadable.

"To what do I owe the pleasure of this unannounced visit?"

"It's surprising..." Satria leaned back with a smirk, his crimson eyes glinting. "That the Emperor of Japan is just an ordinary human... in a world teeming with gods, devils, and monsters."

Hayama's expression did not falter, but his fingers subtly tensed. "So, you are aware of things that most humans do not speak of?"

Satria chuckled. "Oh, please. You've always suspected the supernatural exists. But suspicions mean nothing without proof."

A golden glow formed in Satria's hand.

"Allow me to restore what was stolen from you."

A beam of golden light shot from Satria's palm, striking the Emperor's forehead.

Memories Unlocked.

A surge of lost knowledge flooded Hayama's mind.

Images of figures with animalistic traits-Yokai.
A woman named Yasaka taking something from his office.

A hidden truth erased from his mind.

The Emperor's breathing hitched as he gripped the armrest of his chair.

"Tch... So I was manipulated." His eyes burned with frustration. "I have been made a fool in my own palace."

His gaze locked onto Satria. "You did not do this out of kindness. Speak. What do you want?"

"Straight to business? I like that." Satria grinned, crossing his legs. "I'll be blunt. Your country is on a path to destruction. The conflict looming ahead will reduce Japan to ashes if nothing is done."

The Emperor's expression remained unreadable. "And you, an outsider, claim to have a solution?"

Satria gave a thumbs-up. "Not just a solution-a deal. Invest in me, and I will ensure Japan's survival. Your pantheon cannot handle what's coming, but I can."

Hayama's brows furrowed. "And what is the price of this 'protection'?"

Satria leaned in, his voice smooth. "Support me when the time comes. In return, I guarantee Japan will not only survive but flourish. You won't regret the investment."

A cold silence stretched between them.
