Mason's POV:

Mason: did you hear, four whole companies have been mobilized

Kevin: yeah, something big is going on

Mason: but the weird part is there going west toward the capital and someone from the government is going to be leading them instead of their company commanders

Kevin: do you think they might be going after Arthur, I heard that the PMCs had caught him but he escaped

Mason: it's a possibility, luckily for us, we are getting out of the military soon, our five years of service are up

Kevin: yeah, and what a hell of a time it was, and I mean hell, it sucked being here

Mason: you can say that again, but I had to support my family, but I'm glad I get to go home to them now

Kevin: same here

Arthur's POV:

It's been another week since our escape and we are now close by to Szczecin, which is a city on what was the German-Polish border, but that's in the past, weird that only a few cities got renamed, guess they got lazy and decided it was too much work to go and rename every location on the map,
(A/N that is a jab at me being lazy and uncreative for stuff)

We are currently camped out in the woods to keep a low profile, but this also gives us a chance to talk, and get to know each other more,

Kelly: so you two were both mercenaries

Jenny: I was until three years ago

Varren: I still am, wait, when I called you for help, you said that you quit five years ago

Jenny: yes and no, we parted ways five years ago but I continued to do jobs for two more years, then I took a bullet to the shoulder

Kelly: why did you become mercenaries?

Varren: I was ten when I became one, I had to survive and my country was poor and corrupt, so I learned the trade fast

Jenny: I was alone, Sam was gone for ten years for her two terms of service in the army, and father, well he wasn't the best person, so I left and took up the trade of guns and killing for money

Sam: you had me worried too, I couldn't find you anywhere

Jenny: sorry sister

Kelly: you're both sisters, but you are...

Sam: two different species, you're not the only one to have pointed that out

Jenny: same father different mothers, Sam's a coyote and I'm an Australian shepherd

I shy away at the mention of Sam's species, and it's not lost on her either,

Sam: Arthur, you've been quiet while we talk, but we don't know much about you

Kelly: yeah, even I don't know much about you

Arthur: alright, fine, but it'll be a long story

I begin with a bit of my childhood, mostly average, but in middle school I met my best friend Jackson, we got into all kinds of trouble but we had each other's backs, high school was more the same, but that's when I met Sherry, recounting my time with her was a little shocking to Kelly, but I moved past that, then came the real war, when things became bad for us humans, half of North America fell, along with all of South America, it's when also when they invaded Africa and the pacific and Siberia, things only got worse from then on, Jackson lost his wife April in a bombing raid in the Netherlands, then are special until was formed, me, Jackson, Alan, Roy, and Zack and Mick, we were good, then we lost Alan fighting for Jerusalem, we got Yuri as a replacement for Alan then we were moved to Königsberg, where we helped in the evacuation, I told them everything that happened, the air raid, the wolf mother and her pup, the pilot, the Russian commander, and my adopted daughter, and my house arrest, then the three and a half months with her, then I finally recounted the siege of Königsberg,
