Yet, I can't stop but notice that she was sitting alone in the corner of the room. She was so different from earlier. She looked sad and tired. Then, unconsciously, I caught myself picking up my things while slowly getting up from my seat right before two girls stepped into class and sat at her table.

Seeing this, I dropped back into my seat, just in time for the bell. A lady stood up and introduced herself as Ms. T. She sounded off with her attitude. It almost seemed as if she did not like her job. As she began taking attendance, I couldn't help but find myself turning to see if that girl was situated well with her group.

Maybe it was just my instincts.

She seemed like she knew them, seeing as she smiled while talking to them. My mind was centered around her throughout the entire class period, something different was going on. Within me. Prior to that, my mind was only focused on my life and chess but now, I can feel my heart beating disproportionately when I think of her.
