CHAPTER 27: UNEXPECTED

—KYRO POV—

“Are you ok?” I asked her. Hindi kasi ito mapakali.

“O-Oo naman ok lang ako.” She said obvious naman na hindi ito mapakali.

Binigyan ko ito ng isang battle na tubig. “Drink that to realise your nervous.” Dugtong ko rito.

Uminom naman ito sa subrang kaba 'ata ng nararamdaman niya kaunti na lang ito.

“Thank you, pala rito.”

“Welcome.”

Pangatlong contestant sina Joy's, kami 'yong pang-apat. I know na kaya namin 'to.

“Kinakabahan ako.” She whispered.

I know if it was his first time to join something like this, that's why she felt so nervous.

“Basta kaya natin 'to. . . pagpakatapos nito wala na rin naman.” Pagpapalakas nito sa sarili.

“Yeah.” I said we can hold it in our hands.
Ngumiti ako rito at ngumiti naman ito.

“Contestant number four. . . mag ready na kayo, kayo na ang susunod.” Pagpapaalala ng isang host na bakla.

I hold her hand tightly, mabuti na lang dahil hindi ito umimik.

Mga ilang minuto lang natapos na rin sina Joy's sa pagpe-perform. Pumunta na kami ni Kera sa hagdan para umakyat sa stage.  Mayro'n na kaming mic na hinahawakan.

Pababa na sila Joy's at tumingin naman ito sa amin at bumaba ito sa kamay namin ni Kera na magkahawak.

“Good luck too of you.” She said while looking at me with a smile.

“No thanks!” I answered her. Bigla naman ito nag-iba ang pagmumukha parang naiinis but I don't care.

When our section was called, Kera and I went up while holding hands.

“We can do it ok?” I said.

“Oo naman.”

Nang nakapasok na kami naghiyawan agad ang mga tao lalo na "yong section namin. It was holding balloons and a picture of me and Kera.

“Go, Kyra!” Sigaw ni Tanya at Sabrina.

“Wooooo baka Kyra 'yan!” Sigaw ulit ng mga kaklase namin.

Anong Kyra, Kera and we looked at each other in wonder.

“Go ate!” Sigaw ni Kieron nandito rin pala sila pati si Tita. Nag thumbs up naman si Tita samin kaya ginantihan ko naman ito ng ngiti 

Kaya pala subrang ingay dahil ang dami ng tao. Mayroon nang dalawang upuan nakalagay sa harap. Pumunta kami ni Kera roon at umupo.

“Ladies and gentlemen. . . this night let's witness Kera and Kyro performance and give a round of applause!”

Naghiyawan ang mga tao at student lalo na 'yong section namin.

Ta's biglang namatay 'yong ilaw at nag focus lang ito kay Kera. Nang nagsimula na mag tugtug 'yong lyrics. Tumahimik bigla ang paligid habang ako naman nakatingin lang sa kaniya.

There's so much more" she sing while I look at here.

“I was trying to fly but I couldn't find wings but you came along and you changed everything.” Kanta ko at tumayo ng sabay sabay at magkahawak kamay paharap sa mga audience.

“You lift my feet off the ground
You spin me around
You make me crazier, crazier
Feels like I'm falling and I am lost in your eyes
You make me Crazier, crazier, crazier.“ We sang together while holding hands.

We let go of our hands and faced each other. I looked him in the eyes and smiled indicating that she could.

“I've watched from a distance as you made life your own, Every sky was your own kind of blue " while kera was singing I just stared at it as if we were the only ones here. "I wanted to know, how that would feel and you made it so real.”

“You showed me something that I couldn't see.” She looks like an angel especially in what she's wearing.

“You opened my eyes and you made  me believe.” I sing.

Then we went in front and sang together. While the viewer raised his hand and waved that coincided on the song.

“Baby you showed me what living is for I don't wanna hide anymore.” Pagkanta ko habang nakatitig kay Kera. At ngumiti sa kaniya ngumiti naman ito pabalik sa 'kin.

Then we sang again the last line together. While hold hands to face in front the audience.

“You make me Crazier, crazier, crazier, Crazier, crazier.”

After we sang we bowed and kera suddenly hugged me.and I hugged it back very tight.

Then suddenly the people around us started cheering especially the students who were watching. Then bigla na lang nagsilaglagan ang mga Rosas.

“Woooo! Kyra team lang malakas.”

Shouted our section lead by Tanya and Sabrina.

Actually I ordered it to put on rose's after we sing. I just told Kera that I'm going to go on bathroom but the truth is I called the person I ordered to do it.

Kumawala ito sa 'kin bigla 'di niya ata inasahan.

“Uyy a-ano 'to ba't may mga Rosas?” Takang tanong nito.

Ngumiti lang ako rito at mayro'ng umakyat sa stage 'yong inutusan ko na magdala ng bouquet.

“Here sir.” Abot nito sa 'kin at bumaba ng stage.

I really prepared to do it in front of people. I was told that I should be the only lover of the girl I'm in front of now. I took a deep breath before I start.

“Hmm. . . Good evening everyone I am here in front all of you especially to the one I court right now.” Sabay harap kay Kera. with a serious face habang hawak 'yong bouquet. “I know if my courting with you wasn't that long. . . but I want to know your answer,” I said with a calm voice even my heart ay parang sasabog na sa kaba.

Hinandaan ko ito kung ano man ang maging desisiyon ni Kera.

“K-Kyro anong ginagawa mo.” Kinabahang na tanong ni Kera. Binaba ko 'yong mic para sagutin 'yong tanong niya.

“Nothing I just wanted to say in front all of them na gusto kita. Listen I'm  not doing this for. . . show para magpasikat sa maraming tao. . . I said this so you know I love you and I can protect you,” I said. “At hindi kita pipilitin kung ano man ang magiging desisiyon mo tatanggapin ko.” I added.

Binalik ko na 'yong mic para narinig ng lahat 'yong pagtatapat ko rito.

‘You can do this Kyro.’ I whispered.  I took a deep breath before I start.

“Kera! Can you be my girlfriend?” I asked her.

Naghiyawan naman 'yong mga tao sa harap namin.

“Yes!.”

“Yes!”

“Sagutin mo na!”

“Go Kera kaya mo 'yan!” Sigaw ng friend nito.

Samot sari ang sinisigaw ng mga tao pati 'yong bakla na host nakikisali na rin.
