Summary: Vada gets nightmares and has never told you about them. You sleep over at her house one day and she has a nightmare. Luckily you're there to comfort her and you guys spend time together in a productive way.

TW: panic attack, nightmares.

Truth be told, she was scared to close her eyes. She was indeed in your—her girlfriend's—embrace, she was comfortable and drowsy, but she didn't want to wake up gasping and sweating.

However, the comforting mix of your arms wrapped around her as well as your steady breathing into her loosely tied hair pulled her to sleep.

There it was again. The gunshots. The panic. The fear. She woke up with short, erratic gasps, startling you awake.

"Vads," you sat up suddenly, noticing her tears and steady panic attack. "Ssh, it's okay, no one's going to hurt you."

"I can't—I can't breathe, Y/n," she whimpered through her tears.

You made her look at you and instructed, "Follow my breathing, darling." Breathing deeply and holding her face in your hands, you gently wiped away her tears with your thumbs, helping her regulate herself.

She leaned her forehead against yours and exhaled deeply after having calmed down, closing her eyes tiredly.

"Why didn't you tell me, baby?" You whispered, pulling her into your lap so that she could wrap her arms and legs around you, koala-style.

"Because," she mumbled into your neck, "I didn't want to admit I was scared as hell to sleep."

"It's okay," you replied, running your hand through her hair. "You went through something no one should go through. It's perfectly normal to have these nightmares."

"Can we go outside?" She asked, moving her head back to face you.

"Okay," you chuckled. "It's three a.m but okay."

She pulled on the hoodie you'd brought over, looking absolutely tiny in it, before you both snuck out in just your pjs into the cold night.

She danced down the street, earning a laugh from you as you followed her, feeling love bubble inside you when you noticed how the yellow street lamps illuminated her entire body and features.

She suddenly leapt on your back, making you squeal in surprise and catch her. Hearing her laugh as you spun around made you feel ever so happy inside, and you were quick to press a kiss to her lips when she slid off you.

The pair of you danced and goofed around in the empty streets till she got tired, and immediately you said it was time to go back home.

So finally, tired out and exhausted, Vada agreed to go to sleep.

But only after you agreed to let her keep the hoodie.
