Loki Present Day

I could stand here and admire her beauty all morning, lifting the luscious brown lock in my hand, I began to intertwine it in my fingers. Soft, welcoming, with such a good grip as well.

Five glorious years had gone by since this poor woman's bastard of a father sold his only daughter to me. For 50 pieces of Gold. I had paid more money for mares. But the greedy fuck was only interested in how fast he could obtain his next bottle of Ale.

At first, she fought me every chance she got, pouncing on me, hitting me, even tried to stab me with my own daggers whilst I was taking my evening bath. Not going to lie, it did turn me on when she tried to kill me. Made all the blood rush from my head down to my groin.

After some time, and a lot of patience on my part, she finally began to accept her fate. She would normally keep to herself, cooking, cleaning, making medicine, sewing, but after some time, she fell into a deep depression.

As evil as others portrayed me to be, I could not stand her looking so distressed, the sex had turned bland and into disgust.

Speaking to my mother about a fair child in the village who could not speak and was sad all the time, she advised me to teach her to sign.

The idea was genius.

Going to Midgard, I went into a horrendous small shop called Barnes N Noble, buying 6 different books on sign language. The clerk was insufferable and would not accept the gold currency I had to offer, so I left him arguing with an illusion of myself as I walked out of the store that day. When I had finally returned home, I saw her eyes light up by the books. I knew she knew how to read, but it had been years since she actually held a book.

To pass the time, I learned to sign with her.

We made it a routine every night after dinner to complete one chapter from each book. Until finally she had mastered signing. A very small thumping in my heart made me smile with pride, especially seeing her blossom with accomplishment. This really opened a door for us for her to trust me and I her.

Till one day we were sitting at dinner, and she signed to me that she wanted to move to a city that had libraries, like that she could continue to read and learn. She hungered for books and knowledge, and I in return only hungered for her. How could I tell her no?

I asked her to pack any and all belongings she would want to bring with her to her new home, she asked me what belongings i would take. I simply responded; I only needed her.

I found the most remote cottage, 40 minutes from the city, and miles from our nearest neighbor. Even though she belonged to me, I could not trust her basic instinct to escape and run to a home that was no longer there.

One year ago today, we had moved into a large, extravagant cottage with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and its own library. I left it empty on purpose because I wanted her to fill it with her heart's desires. When she first stepped into the home, she swooned. Her beautiful hazel eyes sparkled with excitement and promise.

Everything had been going well, up until now.

I had to leave her for a few days. The most she had ever gone without me was at most 2 days. But I had to leave for 6. I needed to leave Asgard better than I did five years ago. Being with Venus made me see the world in a different way, she made me different.
