A/N: Lemme know if y'all see any errors. Too sleepy to reread.

Walking into your room, Isabela wears a comfortable-looking black Sunday dress that runs just below her knees. "Good morning." She smiles playfully, sitting on the bed and greeting you with a peck on the cheek.

You groan, grasping your pillow over your face despite wearing a smile. "There's nothing good with mornings, as a night person."

She pouts despite knowing you can't see it. She lies on the bed next to you, pushing herself closer. "Not even a kiss from me is good?"

Pushing the pillow away, you sigh before smiling as you look at her. "It's the only good thing there could be. Anyway, what could be so important for you to be here at eight in the morning?"

"Eight is already quite late you know." She states in a matter-of-factly tone, grinning as she pulls you in for a kiss on the lips.

You couldn't help but grin back, letting her kiss you for as much as she'd wanted. It was several quick pecks on the lips, but it'd come endlessly, making you giggle softly.

She savors the sound, your small displays of happiness filling her heart. "I want to bring you somewhere."

"Can it wait?" You ask, eyes pleading with her. But Isabela was too excited to even notice, pulling you up with a strength that surprises even you.

You giggle. "Alright, alright I get it." Nudging her gently before lifting your shirt to get dressed, you tease her, already knowing she's watching with a blush.

"You're beautiful."

Almost like a trigger, memories start flashing back.

-

"Please, stop going! Your body... it's..." Elena pleads as you clean yourself up, your lover clearly unable to even look at you.

Your arms already wrapped in bandages stained with blood, you reach out to touch her, but she turns away. "Please look at me... I won't have the confidence to show an ounce of skin if even you're disgusted by it."

She closes her eyes, tears pouring gently as you cup her face in your hands. "Just stay here with me... you won't get wounded, you wouldn't have any scars on your body. You can be beautiful, and pampered... your father has the power to give all of that to you."

"I'd rather be away from this wretched place than anything else. And my father of all people favors that I help claim land rather than pretty up."

"You don't know that-"

"Have you seen how happy he gets when I report back? You're always there in those meetings." You snap, Elena clearly living in a different kind of world. She could always benefit from everything, thus why she preferred to stay in the end.

"You could get rid of those wretched scars... is that not what you want?"

"What my body looks like is the least of my concerns Elena. We have so many issues in this place and you're making this a problem?" you question as you pinch the bridge of your nose, stepping away from her thinking she probably also hated the smell of the dried blood on your clothes. "You should go... I can take care of myself."

Turning away, she nods before leaving you in the silence of your home. One thing remained in your mind that day, that she didn't deny your claim of her disgust.

And it only made you feel more worthless as a woman.

-

You turn to look at Isabela, the softness in your eyes falling into her loving gaze. Stepping closer, you take her hand on yours before placing it on top of your chest. "Am I really?"

With your hand on top of hers, you guide her touch to every single scar on your body, the shame that used to haunt you resurfacing every time you were reminded how Elena would pull away from you when she accidentally traced her touch against it.

But that shame, that fear was chased away by Isabela. Touch soothing and sure, just like every other time, she saw you and didn't look away even once. She could already feel the mood shift into something more intimate, and once again she made sure to give you nothing but the best.

Stepping even closer, she gently pushes you back on the bed before tracing all the scars with her soft lips. Reassuring you with each peck on your body, she made sure to spell out to you that it wasn't something that would make her change her mind or feelings for you.

It was almost like she was immortalizing you and worshipping your body. It was nowhere near sexual, just the right blend of intimacy and assurance. "I'm sorry if anyone made you feel less than beautiful. They must have been blind."

A small smile creeps up your lips. Wrapping your arms around her neck, you pull her closer for a chaste kiss. "If I had only felt sooner, how it feels to be yours... I would've known what I've been living for all along." You whisper as the two of you start cuddling, Isabela's fingers still tracing your scars softly.

When the two of you recollect yourselves, Isabela leads you across town, before stopping in a humble home. "It's finally done." She whispers, the house filled with a lot of her own favorite plants.

It was like she was claiming you were hers, being the only house aside from Casita with those plants. But you loved it either way. It was a cute Isabela touch.

The other Madrigal cousins show up, smiling as they spread their arms open. "Officially, welcome home." You laugh gently before being welcomed in their arms first.

"Thank you, really." You smile as they lead you in. It's a two-story house, with two rooms upstairs and a living room and kitchen on the first floor.

"So, is my prima finally moving in too?" Dolores teases, Isabela's shoulders jumping slightly at the sudden topic. A vine smacks her prima quickly as she teases.

You smile as you watch them. "It's the first I've heard of it, but I don't really mind." you take her hand in yours, intertwining your fingers.

"Shouldn't you be the one moving into Casita? Everyone who married into the family moved in after all." Mirabel asks a quite plausible question, only mirroring her curious expression to everyone else.

You shrug your shoulders, looking at the eldest Madrigal cousins. "Not like I know your customs."

Dolores smiles. "Isa and I were talking the other day about how sweet and private it would be if you lived together here."

You fight back a smile as Isabela starts smacking Dolores all over with the vines she was sprouting. How cute. "We could've been the ones talking about how amazing it would be, making up all these little scenarios of things we would be doing. What a lost opportunity." You pretend to fake disappointment in your tone.

When you look back at Isabela, you could almost imagine a dog looking down in her own disappointment, ears droopy and tail dipping down. "I'd really love it if you stayed, or even frequently stayed over. It's not like you'll be abandoning Casita and your family."

She nods, already starting to list the things she'd take here and leave in Casita. She clearly had a plan in her head and thought about it a lot.

Just as you were about to enter the room upstairs, Dolores stops moving immediately, hearing movement outside of the Encanto. "Someone's calling for help."
