I walk into the living room after hearing the front door shut. I see Melanie standing by the door and the boys looking at me. "Kaylin had to leave and do work" Melanie comes up to me and I just nod before her and I go sit on the couch. "Everything alright?" Nick ask And once again I just nod. "Why did she actually leave?"
I look at Brandon as he ask me "because I told her to" I answer "what? Why?" Edwin ask "I don't want anything to do with her anymore" I explain "what happened?" Austin ask "Kaylin is a party animal , I don't have time for that" I shake my head "dude! What the hell" Edwin says
"this whole time you were worried about Kaylin coming into Mel's life just to walk out" Brandon starts "just for you to allow Kaylin into Mel's life and then kick Kaylin out like that!" He finishes "what are you gonna tell Melanie?!" Brandon continues
Mel is so invested in her YouTube video that she's not hearing anything besides that right now. "That Kaylin doesn't wanna be around anymore" I answer "you can't tell her that, you making it seem like Kaylins a bad person , you don't need Mel thinking that" Brandon keeps going and going on.
"Kaylin has been going out constantly this past month" I tell him "so what? Shes grown Zion" Edwin chimes in "do I have to remind you guys what happened last time I messed with someone like this!" I sit up and look at them "oh so that's what this is about" Brandon says
"It's okay for her to go out cause at the end of the day she comes around , and not only does she care about you she cares about her" he points at Mel "you were so worried about Kaylin finding out you had a kid and leaving" he starts again
"then she finds out and she doesn't leave but she meets mel. And they get along and Melanie really likes Kaylin" he says "then the thing you were so worried about comes true but not because of Kaylin but because of you" he points at me and then stops talking. "I don't need any of this bull shit" I stand up and grab Melanie.
"Really Zion?" Nick ask "I don't need to hear this shit from yall" I say "where are we going?" Melanie ask me as I pick her up "home" I answer "say goodbye" I tell her "bye bye" she waves with both her little hands "bye Mel" they all say "we love you girl" Nick says and
I walk out right after.
(5 days later)(Kaylin)
"I Know right?!" I say as paisley stands in front of me "so weird and out of know where" I tell her "I know we been not doing the best but I didn't think he basically cut me off!" I say. "That's fuckin crazy" she says "literally!"
I let out a deep breath. "I was having such a good time with him , like I thought like we were truly getting somewhere and serious" I say "I fuckin met his daughter and she really likes me and he knows that" I add "she likes coming over here and she loves when I come over" I finish
"you think he told her like that you left or something" she questions "I fuckin hope not. I don't want her thinking I just left or I don't wanna see her anymore" I say "I don't know what to do" I shrug "just give it time. Take this break for now"
I look at Paisley "i dont wanna take a break , I really like him" I whine "I know , but maybe this will be good for you guys" she says "I really hope you're right" I say "maybe talk to the boys about it , maybe they know something" she gives me the idea "you're right" I sit up "they must know something"
Maybe the boys understand why. I mean they "been around him for years. Or maybe Zion even told them what happened and why he did it. It's just I wonder if they'll tell me. "I know they'll all busy today with music shit so I'll text one of them tomorrow or something"

"Here Mel" I hand her the cup of juice she asked for. "It's cold" she giggles which makes me laugh. "So what you wanna watch" I sit next to her on my bed "paw patrol" I should have known "of course , why did I even ask" I smile and put paw patrol on as usual.
So we sit there for about 15 minutes watching her little show. "Look at Chase, aww" she points to the tv and I nod "yeah girl" I just agree with her. "Dad" she says "yeah" I look over at her "can we call Kaylin" she ask once again. "Mel I said no" I say "why?"
I didn't tell her that Kaylin won't be coming around anymore. I kinda don't know how "She's busy" I say like I been saying every time "she's always busy" she complains "she's a busy person" yeah busy partying and going out every night. "Maybe we call her later?" She ask
"I don't know Melanie , probably not , but just watch paw patrol" I point to the tv and she goes back to watching the tv.
( hours later) (8:02pm)
The boys and I had a bunch of meetings and shit today. Had to bring Mel along today since I don't got a babysitter. But she's always really good with things like this so it was no worry.
Right now I'm dropping Mel off at the boys house. She's sleeping over. She asked them If she could and they said yes so why not.
We arrive and I walk into the house with Mel in front of me "Melanie!" Edwin picks up as soon as she walks in "you ready for our sleepover?" He ask her "pillow fight" she giggles and he laughs "pillow fight?" Nick ask as he walks in "you're going down" Mel tells him and we all laugh as the other boys walk in.
"We got ice cream too" Brandon says "we gon be up all night" Austin says "please don't , have her sleep by at least 1?" I ask them "don't worry Zion" Nick says "say bye to dad" Mel gets down out of Edwin's arms and gives me hug. I kiss her cheek and say my goodbyes.

Zion leaves and I shut the door. "Let's eat ice cream?" Melanie says "dad said you ain't eat yo dinner at home" I say "is that true?" Austin ask her and she nods "eh fuck it we can eat ice cream" Edwin says "oouuuu" Melanie says

10 minutes later we all are sitting around eating ice cream. "This is so good" she's a mess. Ice cream all over her face but she's so damn cute. She starts going through her bag of toys that's on the table next to her "look" she pulls out two Barbies. "Are those new?" Austin ask "yep" she nods "she's pretty" Nick says
"She looks like Kaylin" Melanie giggles and says "you like Kaylin?" I ask her "yeah , she's nice and pretty and she bought be chicken nuggets" she says "and she build a big fort at her house" she says "she's always busy now"
We look at each other and then at her "why you say that" I ask "I asked dad to call her but he says she Always busy" the boys and I look at each other's. Zions lying ass. Kaylin ain't busy , he just don't wanna call her. "Wanna call her?" Nick ask "she's not busy" he adds "yeah" Nick walks over to Mel and begins a ft call wit Kaylin. "Hope she answers" I whisper to Nick
However Kaylin then answers and we put Mel in camera "hi Kaylin!" Mel says "Melanie! Hiiii" Kaylin smiles at her "what are you doing?" She ask Mel "eating ice cream!!!!!" She says "you're all messy" Kaylin laughs "that's okay" Mel takes another bite before we put the camera on us
"hey Kaylin" Nick says "hey boys" she says "is Zion not there?" She ask "Nope apparently she's been asking Zion to call you and he hasn't so we called you for her" I say. Kaylin sighs and shakes her head "thanks" she says "uhh you guys busy tomorrow" she ask "no" Edwin says "can I come down , talk?"
We all look at one another "yeah of course" I nod "okay good" she says "Kaylin" Mel calls out and we show Kaylin Melanie. "Yes?" She says "can you come to my house , I got new toys" she says and Kaylin pokes her bottom lip out
"I don't know sweetie , I miss you tho girl" Kaylin says "I miss you , maybe I can come to your house" Melanie says "maybe" Kaylin guesses "but we'll figure it out" she says "have fun , I'll talk to you soon Melanie"
