Cup final (Pt.1)

After a few warm up matches with England they have somehow managed to get into the final called the international cup (fictional) against The USA!

Beth's alarm goes off at 6:15..

Beth: "WAKE UP LOVELIES TODAY IS THE FINALLLLL!"
Lucy: "Beth too early."
Beth: "COME ON DON'T BE LAZY YOU CAN LOUNGE AROUND LATER WHEN WE HAVE WON 😉"
Keira: "ugh fine"
Jordan: "blumin heck Beth."
Beth: "hahaha you know me!"
Jordan: " Wait where is Leah? She normally doesn't wake up this early"
Beth: "LEAHHHHH!!!!"
Jordan: "Jesus Christ, it's early, she is probably in the other room."
Beth: "Sorryyyyyyy"
Jordan: "I think I am going to check on her"
Keira: "okay Jords, I think we are just gonna go get ready."
Jordan: " no problemo"

Meanwhile in the lounge..

(Jordan's POV)

I walk in and she is just staring blankly into space.

"Hey Le, are you doing okay, it's not like you to get up early."
"Jordan.."
"Yes.. you can talk to me I am always here for you."
"Yeah thank you, but I don't think I can do it Jords."

I go sit down next to her and open my arms indicating for her to hug me. She leans in and tightly squeezes me.

"Talk to me Le, what can't you do?"

I think those words just set her off.
I feel her start to softly cry on my chest so I pull her in more.

"Hey. hey, what's wrong, no need to cry."
"I'm scared Jordan."
"Aw Leah.. don't be scared. Just tell me what the problem is .

Beth comes booming in.

Beth: "ALRIGHT GUYS HOW'S IT GOING?"

I look up to Beth as if to say this isn't the right time.

Beth: "oh um.. sorry, I'll give you two some space."

"I've been captain for quite some time now."
"Yeah..."
"And we even won the Euros whilst I was captain but I don't know, today seems different from the others."
"Oh Leah.. it's okay you are going to do brilliantly! I promise. Trust me on this one."
"I know Jords but I'm so nervous."
"Leah look at me."

She looks up at me with those beautiful blue eyes.

"I don't ever want to hear you doubting yourself. Ever. You are such a special person and your talent is just.. above and beyond. Don't listen to anyone that you feel could put you down. Even if they do, you have me. Oh um.. and Lucy, Beth and Keira."

Shit I say too much.

Leah instantly hugged me. She didn't say anything for a good minute or two.

"Thank you so much Jordan. You mean the world to me. Your words really touched me and I don't think anyone has done that for me before."

" I will always be there for you Leah."

That made her cry again!

"Aw come on, you are very emotional today little one, let's get ready have some breakfast and maybe you will feel better."
