Robots and Strangers

I chuckled as I watched from the window as Connie and Steven talked on the beach. Connie reading from a book- since being grounded from t.v. Steven had taken a liking to reading. But then the ground shook and something big landed in the ocean, out-crawled one of Peridot's marble robots. The gems and I jump into action and charge to the beach, the four of us pulling out our weapons and we land a hit on the robot- causing it to pop everywhere. The sparkle light blue goo landed everywhere, Amethyst being covered from head to toe in the stuff.

"You okay?" Steven asked Connie as she sat on the beach clenching the book to her chest.

"I love hanging out at your place!" Connie said, amazed.

"It was one of Peridot's robots again. But this one was bigger, which is not a good sign." I said, wiping some of the goo from my skin. I doubt it was harmful since it's used to heal- but you can never be too sure.

"Or this gooey!" Amethyst said as she stood next to Pearl.

"Amethyst, we need to be careful we don't know what this stuff is." Pearl said, looking down at the short gem, but the purple gem begins to snicker. "Oh no! Don't you dare get that stuff on me!"

"Goop hug!" Amethyst spreads her arms out and chases after the clean freak gem.

"Peridot... is that the gem you told me about? The one that's trying to get to earth?" Connie asked. I walked off and stood next to Garnet, soon Steven joined us.

"What do you think it's here to do?" I asked Steven, awaiting for her answer too.

"We destroyed it. That's all that matters." Garnet said, Amethyst trapping her into a goop hug. Pearl stops next to them but is pulled in by Garnet, in the end covering her in goo. I snickered.

The days pass and we're faced with more robots, coming day after day we hunted them down and destroyed them. However it got annoying after the first few times, it was until we hunted one in the desert that Steven suggested an idea. We follow it and find out what it wants, then we make sure it never comes back again. All of us piled on top of it and we rode it to the worp pad- there it portaled us to the kindergarten where Amethyst was made.

"Oh, why here? This site has been damaged enough by the gems that were incubated here six thousand years ago. That's it! It's confirmed- these things are up to no good!" Pearl said as she summoned her spear, only for Steven to stop her.

"Wait! We don't even know what it's doing here, can't we just see where it wants to go?" Steven asked, Pearl looked at Garnet. She sides with Steven and we continue through the dead area. This place wasn't the nicest and I could only imagine what the place looked like before all this, but the thing popping into my mind was the fight Pearl and Amethyst went through and what they felt.

"What does it want?" Pearl asked as it continued to walk on the ground level of the place.

"Maybe it just wants to see where Amethyst was made." Steven guessed.

"Maybe it should mind its own business." Amethyst huffed.

"I don't like this." I said, Pearl agreeing. Amethyst siding with us.

"Aw, come on, can't you feel this guy's funky flow? He's a funk master." Steven said as he patted the top of the robot.

The robot suddenly stops and Garnet grabs a hold of us all and jumps off the robot. The robot forms into three and it opens a pyramid-shaped hole in the ground, morphing into a pyramid itself and fits perfectly into the hole. Without thinking I step onto the robot.

"(Y/n)-" Pearl warned but stopped when the pyramid began to descend into the ground.

"Woah!" I shouted, letting it take me to the ground. Soon the gems and Steven join me. "Hey guys, going down?" I joked Steven laughed but the gems looked sacred.
